Sorry?

Harry, you were actually allowed to play in this event, for Division Two and below players when you played in Division One last Winter and are currently Division One in this season we're playing in now?!

Pure genius.

I understand also that although in previous years players have been eliminated for turning up 15 minutes late, that the eventual Winner of this was allowed to leave mid-comp to run an errand and hold up the competition for around 45 minutes . . .

In all seriousness, this is meant to be a prestigious comp for the lower divisioned player and all of a sudden, the rules have changed to include Division One?!!

You couldn't make it up . . . laughing

Oh well, at least this post will give a certain someone more reason to tell people that they're "gonna get me, if it's the last thing they do . . ." evil laughevil laugh

Firstly, I was only down as a reserve. I would never have taken anyones place if the comp had been full.

Secondly, I was never going to be a threat, especially after a few beers.

Thirdly, I will be in the 2nd division in a few weeks time anyway, so surely there shouldn't be a major issue...Should there?

Fourthly, it didn't seem to bother any of the other competitors as far as I am aware.

There shouldn't be a major issue if it's OK to endanger the integrity of what was THE tournament for the lower echelon of the league.

The non-division one ruling was always applied for the current and previous season . . In theory Kyle could have entered this as he plays for a Division Five side in the current season.

It's just a shame that such a prestigious competition has now boiled down to bums on seats Sad

Aint that sweet. Mixed trebles. Danny, Donna and Fieldsy. A match made in heaven.
All i have to say on this crap is... I run my comps as i see fit. If i am wrong then no one will enter. Simple.
As for hiding behind people. Not my style and you know it.

So it's acceptable that a Division 1 player can play in a Division Two and below comp.

Yep, that really IS crap. Well done.

So I guess that means you won't be entering next year... just like this year and last.

In fact you have strong opinions for someone who hasn't shown any interest in this competition until now. I guess you must be looking out for us lower league players because I know you wouldn't come on this site simply to stir things up. Good for you thumb

This thread is starting remind me of the comment in the quote box regarding equally sized trophies.eek2

Of course not. bouncing

I was merely noting the similarity, The people who are moaning about letting the two players in wouldn't enter this, no one who played is complaining.

You're right because it was billed as a 'Non-Division One' Competition rolling eyes

People seem to have very short memories as it wasn't a million years ago that the certain individuals were slagging other certain individuals off . .

The point in all of this is that a competition which is held in such high regard amongst the lower league players is now apparently open to Division One players but only if the tournament organiser deems them not good enough to worry about affecting the outcome.

Correct me if I am wrong but that just seems a bit strange that's all. I know it didn't happen but say Harry had have won the competition . . I am sure someone would have brought it up . .
