Well played guys yesterday in the KO tournament.

We played 4, won 2, drew 1 and lost 1 which is a great effort.

We all agree we finally run out of steam in the end!

It was a really L O N G day!

Well done :)

Highlight of the day was Teach on the snooker table... Had a touch like Fred West :)

yes it was a good performance from the b team yesterday.started off with a draw against surrey warriers which was a great result:)
we then won the toss and decided to play the woman 1st which was definately the wrong choice but never mind we beat the woman 10-8 which in the end wasnt good enough to take us through to the top group.
next up we played our parents(croydon a)and played really well to win that one 11-7,then it was godaming who got alot of luck in most of the frames and beat us but that scoreline flattered them big time.
well done to the new guys that came into the side yesterday, everyone played there part:D.

now on a sadder note, gary has resigned as croydona captain,im sure everyone who plays for croydon would like to thank gary for all his hard work that he has done over the years, i understand that hughie telford has now taken over as captain, congrats to hughie,im sure like gary everyone will support you fully:)

Make it a Kitkat Chunky and a Ginsters Chicken and Mushroom Pasty, and this match is most definitely on!

Look how easy it is to finalise crucial details quickly!!!!!!!!!!

I wish Gary all the best. Even though he's given up the Captains job, hopefully he will still be playing for Croydon 'A'. If not, I bet we could make a place for him in the Croydon 'B' team.:D

Gary has tons of experience, and is still is a very good player. The A's would be foolish not to ultilise that in some format.

However, Gary may have his own agenda and first off he should be congratulated for his dedication and commitment to running the A's.

As for the new set up, I hope the new Captain/s can bring together the best players we have in Croydon, and to also recognise those who are playing well who are on the fringes and encourage them to get involved in the set up whether thats with the A's or B's. Plus we have some good talent playing outside Division 1 and those guys need to be monitored and brought through the ranks. The battle has for many seasons getting all the top players to pull together, but if that happens then Croydon can be a major force again.
