I no its "only the plate" but there were no signs complaicency or people not giving a damn all nite. After all its not every day you get to play in a quarter final and I for one certainly wasnt going to let this one slip! Maybe something to think about for all those plate sceptics at the AGM?:gossip

I think you'll find your so-called 'plate sceptics' don't have a problem with the concept of a plate competition. The problem lies with the fact that no-one bothered to think the idea through and just left it for Mark Halsey to deal with, which proved to have massive knock-on effects with the usual smooth running of the League competitions.
Plus the fact that the people who were all for it were also all for equality throughout the League as 'everyone paid the same money', but weren't all that worried that Division 1 now paid their same money for three less competitions . . . :wrong:
