Ok, it's the final week - only really winners trophies to settle now!! Here's my early predictions:

Hot Shots 4 - 3 Bloodhounds

We've never done better than 6-1, but we are feeling quite confident and our team will be at full strength!! This result would still show good progress for the ever-improving Hounds!

Red Deer Eagles 5 - 2 Patriots

They could have been crowned champions last week (we won't go there ), but they WILL be deservedly crowned champs tonight! I assume Sean will be playing - why didn't he play singles or his secretaries last week???

Coney Cues 4 - 3 SAS

I actually think the SAS have shown signs of improvement recently. It would be nice if they could win their second game of the season (who was their only win against?:haha:). However, the Coney should do enough in their final swansong!

Cue Masters 2 - 5 Propellor

Both of these teams have had strange results recently, ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous. If all the Prop players can find the place, and can adjust to the table, then this should be comfortable for them.

Farley Eden 5 - 2 Rileys Unpredictables

Sorry but I think the Unpredictables will crumble under the Eden roar!
If they can put out a stronger team then the result 'may' be closer but the Eden are on a roll, and will finish the season on a high!

Rack Pack - Bye (4-3 loss I assume?)

Some weeks one player has an off night, some weeks more than one player have an off night to have four players having an off night coupled with your opposition having a very good night could dent some teams confidence but we are nicknamed the Ego's for a reason and we want to win the league fair and square,we like and respect the Patriots but we need to win tuesday we will be focused

hot shots 5-2 the bloodhounds
great revival from the bloodhounds to stay up but hot shots to finish the season in style.
red deer eagles 4-3 patriots.
eagles to secure the points against the ko cup holders.
coney cues 5-2 the sas
coney to secure a win in their final ever match.
bromley cuemasters 2-5 propellor.
unlikely to have anything like a full team maybe 4
or 5 at most so another defeat on the cards.

Intersting night ahead if the Patriots & the Bloodhounds turn up with full squads. Championship could go right down to the wire, hope we dont lose it on a 2 point deduction.

I'll predict the Hot Shots will win the league tonight. :O:

5-2 may be enough for the Hot Shots. All the pressure is on the Ego's as they have to win to make sure. Of course, they could lose 4-3 and still do win it depending on the Hot Shot result. But the Patriots are a good side and can compete with the best, and they certainly will not make it easy for the Eagles tonight. I can't help but think the Ego's missed the opportunity last week to close out the title. This what the league should be about - title matches going down to the wire. Both sides are quality and whoever takes the title tonight - well done.

Danny Evans to yip a black and Scott Lansing takes the Divisional's to a play-off. Apparently they shaked one another's hands last Tuesday and wished each other all the best for tonight. I rate that.

As for the rest of the league matches. First time in 3 seasons we have not seen the relegation battle unfold to a finale in the last week. Rack Pack crumbled under the constant pressure of the Hounds winning and the Unpreds pulled out the odd win. Rack Pack therefore were doomed with a few weeks to spare and the SAS were all but returning to Division Two by the start of the New Year. Three/Four teams coming up next season will certainly strengthen Div 1. Should be a cracking 2008-09 campaign...

For the Farley Eden, all eyes on next week's SF with the Prop. Been a cracking last two months for the Eden boys and the dream is still alive. Added bragging bonus of finishing above the 'Long Forgotten's' in the league, though we won't fool ourselves with finishing 6th and claiming that is an achievement. Top 5 is always the pre-season goal and we have an outside chance to still grab spot that tonight if the Cuemasters turn up with 2 players.

Week 22 Predictions:
Hot Shots 6-1 Bloodhounds
Eagles 3-4 Patriots (Sorry Sir Tony, just a gut feel)
Eden 4-3 Unpredictables
Long Forgotten 5-2 SAS
Cuemasters 2-5 Propeller

An exciting evening of pool lies ahead at Rileys,Purley. We can watch the 1st and 2nd division titles being decided without the aggravation of the Eden girls choir !! Should be a great night !!
