..the summer league's not over yet!
Knockout cup cup final on
wednesday!
Singles and doubles finals yet to be be played! Where are the links to all this stuff? Are people really that disinterested?
Obviously I have a vested interest right now but I don't think its too much too ask that both summer and winter league stats and fixtures have a permenant place on this website.
IMO, removing all evidence of a season before its even finished makes a mockery of the CDPL and its website.
Grrr...

I knew! Good luck to the all involved.
Any news from the singles semis? They were all still playing when I left.

it had come to my attention the summer league is worth nothing apperently so why play it let's just wipe it off the web site like it never existed for any one involved in the finals good lick and post your results for the small minority that are interested like myself:blah:

Rod Altes beat Chris Brooker 3-2
Paul Richards beat Chris Snyman 3-0
Jo Derby beat Keely Clarke 3-1 (I think that was the final result)

Altes into yet another final. Sounds like a good semi with Brooker.
Paul Richards seems like he is playing some good stuff at the moment, and is more than capable of taking the title.
Rileys Unpreds are 24 hours or so away from completing the double, and good luck to them tomorrow in that quest. Plus good luck to the Chicken Pikeys, who if fully loaded have to start as slight favourites.
And don't forget in the B Final up at Suzy's this Wednesday, Eden v Warbank. Dress rehersal for our 1st round winter knockout clash in three weeks time....

From what I saw of Rod's game (which wasn't much as I was playing) he was struggling. Fair play to him because he clearly dug in and got the result despite being off his game.

It wasn't really that bad a game other than the 4th frame, & Rod missed a couple of shots he may have got, other than that he played well.
1st frame he broke, nothing down, i went for clearence but didn't make it & left him fairly safe, he missed a semi difficult pot & i them cleared up.
2nd frame i broke, went for clearence, didn't make it, short tacical battle, Rod clears up.
3rd frame Rod breakes nothing down, i cleared up
4th frame :- I break, go for clearence, don't touch a cushion with only 3 balls left, Rod fails to clear with 2 shots, i have 2 good chances to win match, snooker myself on the black & bodge them, Rod finally wins the frame
2-2 last frame :- Rod breaks, nothing down. I hit a red onto a yellow & pot the yellow knocking another yellow out with the same red. yellows look good, but i had screwed the white back onto the tip of my cue & Rod has 2 shots, he clears on yellows & wins 3-2.
I had chances to win 3-1 & didn't take them, Rod made me pay.
Good luck to Rod & Paul in the final
