CSL III IS NEARLY HERE... (honest!)
Please note - You are not seeing things - This is a re-started thread, as the other one, started by Danny, seems to have gone a bit stale and time is ticking away. For those of you who previously confirmed, please re-confirm, as I am aware there has been a long wait for this to get off the ground and people's circumstances can change. There have also been a couple of changes, most importantly that the entry fee has reverted to its original ?40, as some say it was getting too money-orientated by raising the stakes. This Singles League was, after all, started for the fun of pool, rather than just making money.
CSL III is nearly here . .
We're finalising the details and want all those interested to make themselves heard, including those who were in CSL II as to whether they wish to re-enter . .
Existing members will be given priority and all remaining places will be given on a first-to-pay basis from when final details are published . .
Rileys Purley Way - Thursday Nights - 8pm Start
Early November - Early March (Approx 18/19 Weeks)
?40 Entry + ?2 Per Player, Per Fixture
Three Divisions of Ten Players (depending on number of entrants)
Please register your interest/confirm your place by posting in this thread . .
. . it's highly likely that those registering their interest are already familiar with the format etc so if you definitely want to be involved then please pay your ?40 entry fee to either Hannah (Rileys PW), Mark Stallard (Goodfellas) or Sean Kelly to confirm your space . .
IF YOU WISH TO TAKE PART, WE NEED YOUR ENTRY MONEY (?40) BY FRIDAY 24 OCTOBER.
N.B. THERE'LL BE NO I.O.U.'s SO GET YOUR MONEY IN BEFORE THE DATE TO AVOID MISSING OUT.

That all depends on how many entrants there are by the deadline. Once we know how many people are in, Sean will sort out how many divisions there will be and subsequently who's in which one. Obviously any new entrants will need to be slotted in where they are deemed acccording to ability - there's no point having people tearing the bottom division to bits just because it's their first season.
That said, I think the plan was also that last season's promotions and relegations will stand and any shuffling about will be done after that.

It says at the top that this is 18/19 weeks long. Is that correct?
Did everyone play each other twice in the last league?

No, everyone played each other just the once.
The number of weeks will probably be 10 actual playing weeks, with some extra in the middle somewhere for Christmas/New Year, assuming those who haven't paid their money yet do so.
The actual fixture list will be issued as soon as possible, it's being worked on now. Updates will also be posted on here, obviously.

It's been delayed because we've had a couple of people bombshell us last minute that they can't play.
Website will be sorted in the next 24 hours (Fingers crossed) so then the fixtures will be generated accounting for the late changes.
Most of the admin on this have been in Great Yarmouth all weekend, so will only have a chance to look at it today.

Yes, we're still starting Thursday. We should know by then who's playing who and on which table but it's all at Suzy's anyway so at least you know the venue, which is a start. As for who pulled out, you'll see that when the fixtures come out - all adds to the suspense..
