Yep, best of luck Knocky.
I'm going to stick my neck out and predict an Unpreds summer double...11-9 Unpreds.
Across town - the Warbank are getting spanked. :bite:

The Eden = :two:

11-7 eh? Do you honestly believe you have enough quality in your squad to take us out by that margin?
Wait a minute, I almost forgot that after all you're the 'B' final specialists...:omfg:

Scott, I think that you're being pessimistic with your 11-7 forecast tonight. I think that you'll comfortably pulverise the Eden queens about 11-4 !! After all, they struggled to be promoted from the 4th division in the summer !! Class will prevail !!

I'm in agreement with the Power, I think that it will be a cracking final but The Eden must start as favourites and I think they will win.
I'm a fan of the Warbank but I do believe that the Eden have greater strength in depth.
Sorry Pondlife - I'm not deliberately disagreeing with you again!

Quite the opposite Patrick, I believe that sealing one of the two automatic promotion spots was a breeze....

Truthfully, if we stick with playing our strongest 5 for all sets i reckon we are just as strong as the edens top 5 no problem at all...
It all boils down to will we play everyone to keep em' sweet or do we play to win the final!
Pat, i was just being polite to The Power, you know we will bash em' up!

We must make allowances for the fact that Alex exists in his own little twilight universe. He quite happily allowed us all to believe that his team had actually beaten Wickham Wanderers last night 10-0. It completely slipped his tiny mind to mention that the opponents hadn't turned up. There was a similar occurence earlier in this competition, when we decided to give them a walkover because we'd run out of aspirin. I think he believes that if he really, really, really wants to win a match, then it will happen. I suppose it's almost childishly endearing !! I do hope that the Warbank turn up tonight. Alex would be truly unbearable if they failed to show !!

well what can i say.absolute cracking final down at the farley tonight.
chickens go into a 6 1 lead and 10 6 lead only to be pegged back by the unpredictable never give up attitude.
at 10 all suddern death with the chickens picking kyle and the unpredictables picking graf, kyle breaks goes for clearence, snookers himself on last ball, gives graf 2 shots, graf clears up.
unpredictables do the double.:one:
well played to the chickens. (great match)

warbank 11-6 farley Eden
A night to forget from eden point of view I guess really disappointing but onwards and upwards for the eagles game next week shame I wasn't registers for the Eden in the summer would of liked to have played tonight well done to harrisons boys and special shout out for Barry watkins who broke and dished the only person to do so from a lack lustre Eden but the potential and ability is there to do well in all three comps this winter season hats off to the warbank Eden were unlucky on some frames. The Eden ran onto a 4-1 lead but warbank pulled a very good comeback which I would like to forget about LOL:lame:

Having watched this match, it was certainly hard fought, and played in a good spirit...
Eden hit the ground running, going 3-1 and 4-2 up, and a good win for them looked quite possible...Warbank found another gear to take 4 frames on the bounce and lead 6-4...Barry's break and dish, coupled with a rattled black that offered a 7ball total clearance for a steal, pegged it back to 7-6....I thought that might have been the turning point to give the Eden new inspiration, but the Warbank went on to wrap up the match with a convincing scoreline....
Well played everyone!

Well done to The Warbank - an impressive win. Commiserations to The Eden, pipped to the League Division and KO cup titles.
Commiserations also to the CCHPs who threatened a complete embarrasment to begin with. While Danny was struggling with Paul in the 1st frame, frames 2, 3 and 4 were being dished by the Pikeys on the other table! I think by the time Danny won the frame that started first we were 4 0 down.
I was a bit concerned that for the next 2 sets we were asked to put our names on the board and they were able to pick who they played. Perhaps Bob can shed some light on that? Turned out to our advantage though as they picked Paul to play Graf in both.:snigger:
At 9 6 going into the final set, and needing 4 from 5 to force the playoff, we'd have been forgiven for dropping our heads... instead we dropped the deadweight (me ), and won the set 4 1.
Having remained unbeaten at that point (and probably not missed a ball) Kyle was their obvious choice for the playoff, as Graf was for us. Kyle broke, started shelling peas and seemed to land perfectly on his 2nd to last ball to get position on a tricky last one. Somehow he failed to use all the angle he had and snookered himself. A brave attempt at a swerve didn't connect and Graf cleared up to bring the rafters down.
Thanks to Betty, Bob and all who came to watch. It was emotional.
The Unpredictables... unpredictable to the end and fcukin champions!

Must say well done to the unpredictables last night, it was a very good final and the game was played in good spirit.
There was some good pool played by both teams last night and Kyle really gave us the chance of winning as he was outstanding last night, but well done to the unpredictables for hanging in and putting in a great finish.

If you are after some 'top work'. Your pretend buddy Scott mentioned to me last night that they were looking for a fat 'retired by Alex' boy to polish their cues each week. I put in a good word for you as its apparent to us all that you have fuck all to do on a Tuesday night, other than of course to watch your over rated ex-players keep together the Cuemasters team.......

Thanks Knocky, and well done on claiming the prestigous double. From a Captain who has had to live with Prop, Eagles, Hot Shots, Drillers domination (apart from 1998 & 2003 Knockout Cups - have I told you about them?) this last decade - thats a fucking great effort by the boys....

And lastly....
Didn't think I'd leave you out Scott?
Congratulations again on last night's performance. We can acknowledge when we've been beaten fair and sqaure and last night you did it. Though, I don't think it would have made good viewing. By the way the match attracted two spectators. Jason Cook, official adjudicator whom arrived 10 minutes after the start time! And Barrie Allen who turned up at 11pm. Tickermaster couldn't give 'em away and in the end just made a fire out of them in a small ashtray....
On the pool front, there was one B&D (by the real Boy Wonder) in 17 frames. Overall the match lacked any sustained quality and most frames were tactical, a bit on the messy side, and it came down to who really wanted to pot the last 2 or 3 balls to nick a point.
It was a well deserved victory by Scott's boys and it was thoroughly deserved as on the night you were the better side.
