If you haven't already heard, Rileys have put together a great team package. Briefly:

Any new team playing from a Rileys club will qualify for:
50% off table costs: All day!
Free Rileys Membership.
20% off food and drink: All day, every day!
Free after match food.
Up to ?100 of your league fees paid.
We will also kit out the team with shirts!

Here at Sutton we have ten English pool tables. The tables are regularly cleaned and maintained and we are looking to step this up even more. Five of those ten tables are being re-clothed this month in preparation for the start of the winter league.

Basically, we're serious about pool and really want people to see what we can offer. Anyone looking for a venue give me a call on 0208 643 7788 (ask for Liam) for more info and let me know when you want to come down and try out a free table for the night. Catch me on a good day and I'll get you a pint too!

I see from your post, and the advertising on Rileys' site, that the ?10 per night fee initially proposed is no longer mentioned. Has it been scrapped?

Thanks for the reply, RasFas, and hello Hannah.

We have eight teams signed up to the new deal. The original three snooker teams signed up to it - no probs, straight in - and a further four snooker teams joined them. Only one (newly-created) pool team is playing out of Sutton :| hence my post.

The ten quid table charge can be covered by the usual football/number cards. Between, say, five players that's ?2 each per home game. 20% off the four pints of Carling you drink that night is ?2.20. And that 20% off food and drink is good for seven days a week, for however many drinks are in your round. I can honestly say it was a no-brainer for the snooker teams.

Afraid I haven't seen the shirts either, but I gather they are polo shirts.
