Are there set start times for this...?

If you are in the top half of the draw you need to have registered at top table and be available to play at midday. If you are not then you need to be available to play by 1.30pm. Ladies event to start at 3pm. By all means get there as early as you like. Tables will be available for practice from around 11am.

We will work down the draw in order but we are already aware of some drop outs so you cannot assume that if you are in the top half but not in the first 10 matches that you will not be starting at midday.

Reserves will slot into any spaces but we will not put them in until we are aware of exactly who isn't coming so there is an equal chance for all the reserves.

Any danger my name could be spelt correctly, its gonna look bad when I win and the wrong name is on the trophy ;).
Its Collier ... thanks

I changed it from Collier to Collyer on the tourny software last night as I thought that was wrong!

What time does the bar open?

I'm only asking for Mickey P's sake

The winner won't come from the first quarter but it gives a few Croydon League stalwarts a chance of a semi-final berth. I'm tipping The Shark to come through.

The second section could be titled the 'group of death' with 4 or 5 potential winners included plus Ted and The Saxtonator.

A few Eagles in the 3rd quarter, I'd expect Evans to battle it out with Pickett. The winner of Matt Cooke and Andy Esgrove will complete the semi-final line up.

Second section is sick.

Sass, is it best of 9's opening round?

I think it's best of 9's throughout . .

Boy Wonder v Man Blunder (grr)

Ha! Yep, had a feeling I would get one of my team. Happened also in 2005, when I just managed to win a decider against Sting.

Neither myself or Barry are playing too hot at the moment so I doubt its going to be pretty to watch!! But the prospect of meeting Cooke in the last 32 and some bragging rights makes it worth battling for.

Steady!

I prefer:

The School Master v The Pupil

Having been on the receiving end you know only too well Daniel, a tournament normally brings out my best. :D

So Daniel - happy with the draw? How do you see it....

It would appear that since the draw Bob Shaw has pulled out so I haven't a clue who I will be playing yet . . I'm not in the worst quarter but not in the best . . I'm playing pretty well at the moment but it's no secret that I've never made it past the first round in the Croydon Open so that's something to contend with . . Also disappointed to see a few Eagles in the same quarter but I guess it betters out chances of getting one through to the latter stages . .

I expect the Quarter-Finals to look something like this:

Chris Knock v Francois Tertullien
Paul Wildman v Sean Kelly
Danny Evans v Kyle Pickett
Andy Esgrove v Gary Swettenham

a lot of big names are meeting early which means we'll have a few 'unknowns' in the later stages

Harry, to make you feel better I managed to find something on the googleweb. There were 50 fire engines at the Sutton Squash club in Hannibal Way, which is just behind Imperial Way.

If I don't get a chance to come online again, I would like to wish everyone good luck for tomorrow, except for Knocky (who I have in the first round) and Matt Cooke, Shaggy and Golden (who, if they win, I will lose ?20.00)

Apart from that, good luck to everyone, including the organisers.
