This is a ?500 a man comp at Riverside Pool Club, Ware, Herts running 14-16 March limited to 32 entries.

I'm unlikely to have time to run a qualifier but if there's enough interest I'll check there's a space available and maybe someone else will do it?

Needs minimum 20 runners at ?25 or 25 at ?20.

Full details

Maybe if there was more than two weeks notice there'd be a chance of filling it . . This is the second big competition where Croydon are being used as a last minute solution as I'm guessing they're running short?

If they had offered us one from the start then we could have made it happen . .

Nope. We've not been asked to do anything. I just put the details on here in case anyone wants to either stump up ?500 to enter or run a qualifier so someone can get in for less.

I've no idea if it's full or not. As far as I know Neil is in Jersey . . .

Wouldn't it be a good idea to check if there is a space first

As you well know, it was hard enough to get most people to part with ?15 let alone ?25 for a competition where it is likely they will be pillaged if they were to win it . . Maybe do it in conjunction with SurreyPool.com and get a few of them over?

Like I said - I won't be running it. The main point of the post was for anyone who might want to go straight into the 32. If you want to do that feel free.

Oh my god . . Have you seen the line up?

Chris Melling
Carl Morris
Mick Hill
Marc Farnsworth
Ronan McCarthy
Phil Harrison

. . and that's not to mention those who haven't confirmed as yet such as Appleton and Potts :omfg:

It's an amateur comp though. Surely Appleton and Potts are out of the equation? Got to admit it doesn't really look there's much value in it when you see the field.

I think the Grand Prix is separate to the Amateur one they're running . . The Grand Prix is riddled with Pros . .

You're right - my mistake.

Are there still spaces for the Amateur competition as I reckon you'd get a few who'd be up for that . .

I'll think so but I'll check with Neil at the weekend. He asked me last year if I'd do a qualifier for that one which is why I got my wires crossed.

there are still spaces left.

you will have to ask neil first if you want to run a qualifier

but remember the main event is on the 14-15-16 march!!!!!!

so hurry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Joe. There's not enough interest but I'll certainly do one for the amateur event later in the year.
