Any of you Croydon boys fancy this? This is looking like a good strong event but in races to 5, it's anyone's!

I am still looking for a couple more sides for the 3 man tournament next Sunday if anyone is interested? £60 a team (£20 per person). 4 groups of 4 so you play the other 4 teams in your group first to 5. Top 2 qualify for the knockout stages. The teams that get knocked out in the group stages are entered into a free to enter singles plate where there is prize money for the finalists.

Anyone here fancy it?

Results

Group A

Chris Pidgeon, Steve Ringsell and Glen Jackson 4 and 1
Ben Middleton, Connor Anderson and Chris Dolding 3 and 2
Micky Samuels, Mev Ali and Dom D'Souza 3 and 2
Pat Quinn, Mo Sheehan and Del Sim 3 and 2
Nick Booth, Jason Toovey and Lee Coyne 2 and 3
Dave Dean, Henry Eastwood and Micky Cole 0 and 5

Chris's team won the group and then there was a 3 way 3 man play off between Ben, Micky and Pat's sides to determine who went through as group runners up. They all beat each other first time round and then did the same thing second time round so it took until the third go to finally get a winner where Ben's side prevailed.

Group B

Tom Kennedy, Ollie O'Boyle and Ryan Mears 3 and 2
Lee Nelson, Michael Hope and George Reeves 3 and 2
Danny Baker, Nigel Clarke and Videsh Sabharwal 3 and 2
Daz Welfare, Morray Dolan and Greg Lewis 2 and 3
Dan Wells, Steve Parker and James Green 2 and 3
Ben Welfare, Dean Torode and John Cairns 2 and 3

In an unbelievably tight group, there was a 3 way 3 man play off to decide the group winner and group runners up between Tom, Lee and Danny's team. We all beat each other first time round and then second time round Tom and Lee's teams both beat Danny's team so that eliminated them. We then tossed a coin to see who group winner was.

Semi Finals

Chris Pidgeon, Steve Ringsell and Glen Jackson 3-5 Lee Nelson, Michael Hope and George Reeves

Tom Kennedy, Ollie O'Boyle and Ryan Mears 5-2 Ben Middleton, Connor Anderson and Chris Dolding

Final

Lee Nelson, Michael Hope and George Reeves 4-5 Tom Kennedy, Ollie O'Boyle and Ryan Mears

Thanks to everyone who turned up today.
