2018 CROYDON REPRESENTATIVE TEAM TRIALS WILL TAKE PLACE ON SUNDAY 7th JANUARY AT FRAMES SPORTS BAR (from 12:00pm) ……. Further details and places available within the squads will be notified after Sunday December 3rd. The trials are available to all League members so any interested party should either post their interest on here or contact Steve Pantony or Mark Halsey to register their interest.

I can confirm that there are 11 places available within the 2018 Team Croydon Squads.

Seeing that the number of trialists does now exceed the number of places available then the trials will definately take place but I still need players that are considering entering into these trials to register their interest before January 3rd as I will need to advise Frames Sports Bar of the amount of tables that will be required to stage these. The trials will be based on a Round-Robin basis and the number of games that will be played with the numbers I have at the moment stands at 120 with a Group of 16 all playing each other once ..... (I may opt for 2 groups of 8 if Tables numbers are not available)

7 tables have been booked to stage these trials and I would remind the trialists that you will need to register with me between 12:00 - 12:15pm for a 12:30pm start and I would estimate that they will conclude between 3:30 - 4:00pm with the numbers we have at present playing the 120 frames. If the group of 16 is to be split by mutual consent of the players then it will be 2 groups of 8 playing 28 frames per group with the top 5 in each group qualifying with the extra spot going to the highest next in line in either group. If there is a tie situation in any scenario then the head to head will come into play and a play-off for the 11th spot if that comes into play.

For those players that are successfull at these trials and have not previously been registered with the EPA (Green Card Holders) then it is imperative that you bring along a passport photo and the £10 fee as you will be required to fill out a registration form before you leave. For those retained players, registration forms will be available for collection at these trials but if you wish I can send an electronic copy out to you via email if you are not available this Sunday.
