Just an observation but if Div 1 players are excluded then surely this should have played on the weekend they are having their Div Singles KO. This comp is the day after the Div 2 Singles KO, I'd like to play in Farley Comp but I'd also like some time away from pool that weekend so I have to make a choice. As there 2-3 Farley comps and only one Div singles a year I pick the Div 2 Singles KO. I imagine their are a few more Div 2 players in a similar position.

I agree. two days of pool is fine, but travelling from Biggin Hill to Purley & Biggin Hill to Thorton Heath and back in two days doesn't appeal to me lol. im not saying i wont be at both, because i will, but still might be an idea to change it.

just read the first post again... I've been playing in a division four side all season - in the winter season (I mean summer season - can never remember which is which - we're in winter at the moment, right?) I'm signed up on a division one teamsheet - can I still enter the comp?

Typical just my luck - I played about four games in division one and they were last summer - so better remove me from the list. :violin:

One day I will make it to a Farley comp

I agree with Miq, as a Divisioin 2 player both days out of my weekend will be consumed by the league if I enter. If you move the comp to the weekend of the Div 1 KO (or any other weekend for that matter) I will sign up, but otherwise you can count me out as I sometimes like to think I have a life outside of the league.

I agree with you (particularly cos I can't make it!) but it's probably too short notice to change it now.

That was me psyching myself up. It almost worked! I went 2-0 down and pulled it back to 2-2. After a long and tactical decider and me messing up a few chances, he scraped the win.

How disrespectful. If you didn't take chances given to you, that's hardly your opponent 'scraping' a win.

Donna, i wouldnt worry it was only Ian who beat him anyway.

"Scraped a win" is kind of a metaphor. It is called imagery with words. In less complicated usage of the English language, he beat me in a close match of pool. What?s disrespectful about saying that?
