The same rules don't apply with this comp as the main event then, regarding Croydon players first?

I;d be interested in that so can you add me please?

No I haven't restricted it as I don't think it will make a difference. The best ladies attendance we've ever had was 8 at the first one. I don't want to give anyone who wants to be in it a reason not to be!!

To make this clear. This is also a pre-pay event. The first 16 ladies to get their money to me will be in it. If there are less than 16 entrants then it won't happen and any entry money paid will be refunded.

I'll have a word with Nicky Barber - this is the sort of comp she should be coming to.

Thanks. I don't have a number for her. I texted about 20 ladies I have numbers for and will see most of them either tonight or at Yarmouth at the weekend.

I'm actually beginning to think this might happen . . .

Really good to see the girls who play in Croydon league get behind this with 11 of the 13 on the list so far being either current or former CDPL players.

There are still a couple of names missing from people I'd expect to see in this though . . .

Thanks for the payment Cathy.

Although there are now 16 names on the list we will continue to take names for this tournament until 16 players have paid their entry fee. Don't leave it till the last minute - you may miss out . . .

If all the players listed turn up it'll be some achievement given the low numbers that are turning out for Ladies events these days . .

By my estimations, the date change for the Ladies Interleague Finals impacts a few of the ladies on list but only one who has paid so far.

I'll get in touch with Sarah tonight and see what she wants to do.

The changed Yarmouth date is probably going to affect this event more than the Open in terms of the percentage of the field . . .

I've just had to remove 3 ladies names from the list due to the date change for the Ladies National Interleague Cup/Champion of Champions. There are 2 further names that remain on the list but I don't know whether or not they still plan to go.

I think the date change has put paid to any chance of us having an event for 16 ladies on 16 Feb. I'm reluctantly going to reduce this to an 8 player competition. This means that there are now just 2 spaces left - possibly 3.

If you are already in this competition and want to pull out as a result of the change of numbers then let me know by 15 December. If I don't hear from you I will assume you are happy.

Farley could you please make the ladies who have entered from your pub know. Feel free to give my mobile number out if any of them want to speak to me.

Thanks

I wouldn?t expect anyone to but it?s only fair to give them the opportunity as I?ve changed things since they paid.

I've been asked what time the ladies event will start for those who aren't also entering the Open. I can't be specific as it depends on how quickly the other event goes it won't start before 2pm - probably closer to 3pm.

Of the 8 runners the only one who played in the Surrey Classic last weekend was Sarah Long (Sass)

It would be nice if we could somehow join forces to get you all play in the surrey comps and in turn get all the surrey entrants to enter the croydon comps.

What do you ladies want?
