CROYDON SINGLES LEAGUE IS BACK AGAIN !!!

Start Date: Thursday 1st July 2010
Full fixture lists will be available soon and will also be issued to all players on the above date. As before, the season will run for 18 weeks including KO Cup and 2 scheduled break weeks (to keep up with any postponements etc). Presentation and Finals Night will be on 28th October.

Fees
ENTRY FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS.
The entry fees are the same as last season, with same system for payment. As opposed to ?drip-feeding? the table fees, I have encompassed it in the entry fee (which now also includes the first round of the KO Cup). Subsequent rounds of the KO Cup will still be ?2 per match, as before, for the duration of the player?s ?survival?. This means the initial entry total is now ?60.

Payment methods
As always, payments can be made either to me or to Rileys Purley Way. If paying at Riley?s, please ensure payments are given to Sandra to save payment system confusion (as Sandra's done it before). As stated above, entry fees MUST be paid before the season starts. I appreciate that some people may have PayDay at the end of the month so it would help if people who are paying near the cut-off could let me know when they intend to pay, so I can update my records and don?t unnecessarily hassle you every day.
To make it easier for players there are two payment options:
Option A: Full payment of ?60 before season starts.
Option B: Two-part payment - This method requires an initial fee of ?40 (before season starts) and the remaining ?20 balance to be paid, in full, by the end of July (this should enable the cost to spread over 2 pay days).

Divisional Status
The entries and divisions have been finalised and are shown below. As always, these started according to finishing positions last season. There have been a few players drop out which have made way for new entrants from the reserve list and also means that some players have been ?shuffled up? where appropriate.

On Thursday 1st July, all players will be issued with full fixture lists, season schedule and a set of the CSL Rules.

Lastly, if anyone has holidays booked/planned during the season, please let me know as much in advance as possible.

I think Martin will be too scared of potential punishments/consequences for winning so I am going to go for a draw

Although I am sure he will bear in mind rewards for losing!!

I know you have autonomy on Division status however I would say that I think that the New Players have all been allocated divisons sensibly.

Jake and Paul are fine players, although I know Jake hasn't picked up a pool cue in anger for 18 months or so, and would have run riot in the lowest division.

The two new boys (although Sean is a returning hero) in the top divison pretty much pick themselves.

Predictions

Prem
Hughie Telford - Doesnt look ike he is going to miss at the moment.

Div One
Paul Hailston (Wont throw frames away)/Lloyd Barnes (improving fast)

Div 2
Steve Pantony (B TEam Captaqin and alround Legend)

There's been a change to the divisions, as Halil dropped out, so Steve Pantony has been shuffled up (so Paul, you need to revise your predictions).

As for the rest of you.. season starts in a few weeks, so keep your money coming in.
