I will be contacting those people who have paid their entry to this event who but who will be affected by the revised Yarmouth dates this evening. Once I've spoken to them I'll update the list to reflect the revised entries for the Open.

I've removed the Hotshots players from the list and refunded Ian and Nigel Clarkes' payment as they will be at the re-re-arranged Champion of Champions event in Yarmouth.

This event is still around half full. Let's get it full by Christmas Smile

I'm taking a leaf from the Toots Kennedy Kennedy book of pool promotion by stating that there will be no Andy Breen (last year's winner) and no Rod Altes (last year's runner up). No doubt there will now be people flocking to enter this competition . . . GrinDbig grin

If everyone who says they are coming leaves it till the day to turn up and pay there will be a lot of disappointed players.

Make sure your name is in the draw for this by paying your entry money asap.

I will be at both the Surrey Classic events this weekend so if anyone on the list (or indeed not on the list) wants to enter they can pay me then.

Approaching 40 paid entries . . .

In a break with tradition the winners will receive personalised trophies which will be presented at the CDPL Presentation Night in July.

i have to say i think that's a stupid idea...

if a player outside the cdpl wins they ain't gonna come to our presentation night...

why bother putting names on trophies... it's only necessary if the trophy is returned year after year...
when you pick up a trophy you know who you are so you don't need your name on it.
when i turn up at a comp i like to see the trophy i'm after... gives me a bit of extra incentive!
