hehe yeah not quite the result I was after.

I should have probably got three or four frames off him in the beginning as he wasn't playing that well to start off, but as soon as we hit game six, Hugh found another gear and started dishing - consistently. There were about four frames after no. 6 where I didnt have a shot apart from the break (if i was lucky enough to be breaking).

Well played Hughie, you whupped my ass!

Luke defiantly deserved the win over me, in all fairness it should have been more so i'm happy with the 5 points.
at 5-1 down i thought i was in for my first whooping, but after i scraped back a few and got it to 6-5 down i thought i could nick a draw. But after luke potted for the first time off the break in frame 12, dished up and rattled the black, leaving me a near impossible clearance, he deserved the win.

well played mate, see you after xmas

at least i had the match last night. When i got home, felt a bit rough, was up all night.
Doctors this morning, apparently i've got gastroenteritis. Hopefully i'll better by next week.

darren porter 8 - 4 lloyd barnes
a well played match both taken 90% of chances
shame about the kick off on the table next to us.

Croydon Singles League website updated accordingly.

What happened on the next table then? Anyone we know?

Early result form today.
Luke Willsher 7 - 5 Darren Porter
An enjoyable match that I was probably quite lucky to scrape the win in the end after being 4-2 down. Darren was playing well and was full of confidence after the win over Lloyd. Well played mate!thumb
