If a player is not available for a match at the required start time 1 frame will be docked for every 10 minutes the player is late

The only time where this will come into force is if there is a table spare at the venue and the only match waiting to be played is one where a player has not arrived. Every effort will be made to try to ensure that all other matches are put on first before any that involve late players

Please try to stick to the start times above - 12:00 for the top half of draw and 1:30 for the bottom half

So based on the above statement - no reserves who turn up on the day will get a chance to fill in for someone? Is that correct

This has always been a friendly social type competition. I don't want to see anyone put on the clock and it really shouldn't be necessary but they need to let us know if they will be late. If they don't turn up at the allotted time (if we can) we will establish whether or not they will be turning up at all. So far the only person who has said they won't be coming has now changed his mind so it's possible that there may not be any spaces due to dropouts at all. There they will be plenty of other events running if people want to turn up and can't get in the main one. If anyone does want to take pot luck and turn up on the day then we will take a reserve list of entries on a first to pay basis and should people drop out we will go down the list and they will all be slotted into any spaces in the first round at the end of the round on a random basis. If you don't get in then of course your money will be returned to you.

Last year there were 5 no shows and I ended up giving up my own place (and still paying for it!) to allow all 6 who wanted in to take part but we were aware of 4 of those before the day.

As has been said before there will be significant changes for next years event (being open to 128 players without restrictions from the start being the key one) but you have to remember that this is Paul's first time running an event on this scale so I think he should have a chance to walk before he has to run!!
