Following the termination of his contract, I can't see there being a stampede to replace him. I'm no McClaren fan but I think the players also need to take some of the blame for their failure to qualify. It's not as if they had a tough group.

So who's in the frame for the most thankless task in football this time round?

Oh and what's 9 inches long and dangles in front of a c**t?

Steve McClaren's England tie.

I hope Stuart Pearce gets the job!

The last few U-21 performances have been quality, not in a technical sense (we never have been able to string more than 5 passes together) but in the way he gets them at it, the most important quality we expect from an english team, too many of the current squad take the three lions for granted and I think Pearce is the man to sort em out.

Hope Powell (manager of the current women's team). She's our 'man.' Look our well she did in the last women's world cup. Against all expectations our girls made the quarters. Nothing more intimidating for the likes of Beckham, Gerrard, Owen and others from the "Golden Generation" than having a female leader!

Stuart Pearce would be just as bad as McClown! Mourinio would throw the game if we were to play Portugal.

Lets be the first to be different!
Taking my shots looking cool, my self-esteem?s growing tall.
Losing eyes this game is cruel. I do my thing playing pool.

The sad thing is that it doesn't matter who manages our bunch of grossly overpaid primadonnas. Sky TV is responsible for the disgraceful situation regarding players salaries. Because of the Sky money, the players are paid obscene amounts. They then make the mistake of thinking that they must be good. In actual fact, they are not very good at all. Most of them cannot even control the ball. The gap in technical ability was cruelly exposed last night because of the playing conditions. The salaries need to be cut drastically. The influx of foreign players would recede.Let's face it.Most of them are only here for the money.

Mourinho wouldn't take it - he wants hands on day to day involvement.

Pearce is relatively inexperienced, a good man for the next one perhaps, but not now. Anyway, he's doing a good job with the U21's, so why spoil that as well??

What about Martin O'Neill or Mark Hughes?

Peter Taylor has always been sucessful except with Palace, pos says more about Palace than Taylor as Warnock has found out. Dream team time Harry Rednapp,Stuart Pearce,Peter Taylor,Jose Mourinio, Martin O'neil @ Gus Hiddinck in a christmas tree formation

Redknapp or Jose. In an ideal world id say Wenger but he has ruled himself out.

Peter Taylor's record with the England under 21's is brilliant he made a very big mistake when he gave up the under under 21's to stay with palace and don't forget he was the one who gave all the younger players their chance to play with the big boy's back when he was made caretaker manager for about 3/4 games. applause

am i right in thinking that taylor gave beckham the england captaincy,i agree he did a great job with the under 21's,but i'm not sure he'd be the right man for the main job itself.

Entire Family Beats Child

A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a courtroom drama yesterday
when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge
initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law
and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree
possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him
more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When
the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy
cried out that they also beat him!

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning
that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the
judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who
should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references
and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary
custody to the England Football Team , whom the boy firmly believes are
not currently capable of beating anyone.
