Not sure how many people would agree with me or not but.
On a foul shot should a player be able to just touch his or hers cue with the white ball .
I think this is a wrong way of playing pool because it's not playing the game one bit.
It's just not being good enough to get out of a shot and that is not pool. I think it should change to if you do want to do a foul shot you should at least try and play the shot or a snooker. It happened to us tonight and to be honest it gave us all the hump. But they are the rules so tuff but really should be looked at cause it's not playing pool.

Yes they should. There is a huge degree of skill in understanding the position at the table and applying your knowledge of the rules to turn a game to your advantage.
If you want to go back to old EPA rules then fine propose that at the next league meeting, however I honestly don't think you'll get very far proposing a hybrid rule set which noone outside Croydon League would be playing.

90% of players would have played the excatly same shot!! ... I had no escape, and any attempt at trying to to get out of the snooker I was in, would have only disturbed the balls to my opponents advantage giving him 2 and the chance to clear ... the right shot (as it proved) was just to tap the white making sure i didnt leave a touching ball.
Im pretty sure not all your players had the hump as 2-3 of them( including the player I played the shot against) said it was the shot that won the game.

I can see your point, but believe me we cannot go back. World rules is generally more attacking than the old rules, but it also makes for more interesting tactical battles. Overall it makes the game better and more skillful as there is so much more thinking involved.
