we dont write things on here to scare anyone Alex. Would it scare you if i said we had frozen the cloth overnight in the freezer and we will apply the cloth just prior to our match to give the table that ice rink quality we seem to thrive on?
As long as you have fixed the big rip in it then I am sure it will be fine. |

You have home advantage, and are after all a pub side with pub players so you should know the table like the back of your hand.
We expect to have a couple of bad rolls here and there. Messy, scrappy pool tonight is fine with us, the result is more important. |

exactly hence why I was so surprised to hear you making excuses for your two defeats last season. A couple of guys said they might have to miss tonight and I said any other game would be fine. The fact is if you turn up short or with a weaker side in this fixture it is no excuse and cannot be used post event as some kind of reason for the loss. The teams are bigger than the individual so you wont hear any excuses from us tonight either way. The best team will win. |

Berty - sorry to contradict you, but it wont neccesarily be the best team who wins matches like this; it's the team that wants it more. The team whos arses don't fall out at crucial times in a frame.
If a team turn up with a weakened squad and win, they'll be sure to point that out time and time again, so there are no excuses on that basis. What you have to think about is if this is the game both teams give as a reason for playing, why would any of your 'top' players not want to be a part of it, unless they're scared of losing?
Good luck to both teams - lets see who has the bollocks to win. |

I am commuting from Oxford for this one. Any other game this season I would have given it a miss.

No excuses at the time but everyone connected with the Eden felt the table at the Coney was not far short of unplayable. We turned up short of 4 key players in the 2nd game last season and just got edged out. History says you won.
We only have 7 players this season. All are available tonight, and we are happy to be playing at the Elmer. It was our home venue for 3 seasons so why wouldn't we be pleased to be returning tonight.

I would expect more from you Alex after all the venue that you called unplayable was also your home venue for a time on identical tables.
We smashed you up in what was the only truely convicing win of the 4 match series so far. The second match was a horrible match in which you lost your arses.
Both teams have a near as damn it full squad available tonight so no excuses will be given by either side.
Coney Players available:
Palmer
Spry
Davis J
Davis M
David L
Patel
Ansell
Saxton
Eden Players Available
Truan
Lansing
Barnetson A
Barnetson K
Sting
Hewson
Watkins
A Fairly even match I think you will agree and i cant wait! |

What I am saying is we didn't settle in the 5-2 defeat at the Coney and the table suited you and it was a contributing factor but we were beaten and we accept that. As for the second game if you are referring to Pedro's easy black miss and Donna's son turning out to make the numbers up for us as loses where we ''lost our arses'' then give yourself a big clap Palmer. Pedro plays once in a blue moon and is just about div 5 standard and the kid was doing us a favour.
Oh, just heard Tony Venus and Liam Connors now available for Eden selection. |

Nearly two pages of Coney v Eden
Is this what average teams thrive on these days?

Average? Biggest compliment in the Coney History.
By the way Efren Reyes and Earl 'the Pearl' Strickland are now available for coney selection.

Drillers -v- Eagles
The turmoil that the Drillers have caused by withdrawing from the league gives league leaders the Eagles the night off and for it they will take 5 points.
I don't mean to pick holes but isn't it 7 points? |

Plus bonus points where applicable.
Therefore
Eden 3 Drillers 0 = 3 points
Eagles 5 Drillers 0 = 7 points!!!
