Langley Sports 3 - Goodfellas 4

Another nice win for us, despite only having 6 players again. Always amusing when Langley insist on picking young Dan to play twice on both occasions he's played there, even though they've never seen him lose a game..

I begged Tony to play me again because I was so rubbish, so he can't say I didn't try to help his team!! laughing In all honesty, the Langley probably should have won, but i'm sure they'll get their revenge

At least I got to play last night rather than just turning up and waiting to play like on Monday in the doubles when our Loyalist opponents didn't bother turning up. Surely there's ONE working phone in Thornton Heath they could have used?

Anyway, nice club, nice team and look forward to the rematch.

So was it a different Dan who lost twice on 27th March and at least once once on 11th September? confused

Without a doubt both Dans who were there last night have improved enormously in the last nine months. You need to stop dragging them both down to Rileys to practice every night.

Truth is I didn't really want to pick any of you to play again. It's much better to just be told who you're going to play and get on with it.

Thanks for the match. Apologies if the foul that wasn't seen or called was definitely a foul - I hope that was cleared up after the game satisfactorily.

Look forward to the return match in the Spring.

Oh yes, I see you'e done your homework there Tony. I notice you missed out 10 July though.. That was when you picked Dan again and we did you 7-0 at your place, as I recall.
big grin

As you say though, it appears the enforced practice is worth it.

Yes Mark, I also missed out the 9th March 2004 when we beat you 4-3 in the league cup because it didn't add much to the point I was making.
I think you made the mistake of thinking because I never have a folder with all the fixtures, contact details and other important information I need to hand, that I don't take my responsibility as secretary seriously.
