Having encountered several insurmountable administrative problems on our return to the Wheatsheaf,we have decided to go back to Rileys Purley Way with immediate effect. Our first game produced a thrilling battle. We looked dead and buried at 4-1 down at the end of the first set. But we then won the second set by the same margin. A one frame play-off was necessary.We chose Gary Rawlings and the Forum chose Paul Southwell who had won both his games thus far. Paul won the toss and elected to break. He went in off. Gary then potted all his balls but went in off the last one. Paul then cleared all his balls but ran out of position on the black. He didn't pot and Gary made no mistake with a clinical back cross-double to win the game and the match !! Really enjoyable evening. The match was played in a very good spirit throughout. Pints costing just ?1 obviously assisted the conviviality !! Great to be back at Rileys ! Onwards and Upwards !! Good luck to the Forum for the remainder of the season !!
