First of all, it was an enjoyable night. Never having played the Eldon before, there was some great banter, and a good friendly atmosphere....Peter Brooks even found someone to swap war stories with!!!!
Happy, but not happy with the result....never complain about a win - there's not that many of them!!! It was our best win for 2 years...BUT....the three we lost were unlucky....two where a doubled black jawed and sat nice, and one where the white followed in despite playing a screw shot.
Take nothing away from the Eldon guys, they scrapped and hung in there....10-0 would not have been a fair reflection on the night.
All the best guys....look forward to the next time we play you (if there is one!!).
stelfs 5-5 view a yet another draw. view a must be the draw specialists this season. Some very good pool played by both sides last night. Fair play to the stelfs in the first 6 frames smashing in difficult 5 and 6 ball clearances when the frame looked lost. This left us 5-1 down after winning the first frame and shell shocked. Still we kept our nerve and our lucked changed to take the next four.A good enjoyable evening played in the right way, food was tidy last night too. Look forward to visiting in the league again latter in the season.
