Seamen 3-7 Oakie Cokies

Having been beaten 9-1 away, the result looks like an improvement....

However, there was more than one frame where the oakies got the rub of the green - not least the last....black over bag, 4 balls left...pot 2 run out of position...cracking pot on the 3rd (I'm being fair here!!!)...cue ball comes up the table, hits knuckle of middle, and sits perfectly on the last ball....

I'm not saying we deserved to win, but even Jamie Mc agreed they had the rub...when you're fighting at the wrong end of the table, one extra frame a week makes so much difference...

A good night though, and good banter....punctuated with frequent checks on the Palace score using various phones...

I'd wish you guys good luck, but it's our team that needs some!!!

...The Lodgers 7 - 3 Beechtree

3-2 down at the break, lost the second set 4-1moving on ...

Good buzz with Paul and the lads..but they say luck evens itself out over the course of the season, well I hope thats the case, cause we aint had any for ages. A relocation from the Elmer to Langley Park (nice venue, I missed it when we played Langley Sports) for the Lodgers, but the run of the table got away from us. Draw would have been a fair result on the balance, but we'll roll our sleeves up for next week

Good luck for the rest of the season ladshandshake

The Dukes 5-5 The Folly

The unbeaten record goes on but only just. Having been in control of the match twice at 3-0 and 4-2 the Dukes stormed back to win 3 on the spin and led 5-4 going into the last. Superb tactical battle between Mark B and Ronan finally ended with a win for us to claim the draw.judge

Great night as always with Mark and the rest of the Dukes and all the best to them for the rest of the season. applause
