I've got to say I'm rather dissappointed to have an average result as it pretty much seals my fate back to the 1st division next season. Although the chances of survival was going to be an uphill task with that game, I would have had more chance if I could play it. I'm not the only one affected either. Nevermind, rules are rules. Roll on next season.

This one finishes in two weeks' time. After that, I need a break, then I hope to start 'Croydon Singles League VI' sometime in June.

Congratulations to all the winners, so far, and commiserations to the less fortunate among us.
Don't forget next week is the Plate event:

The Plate is a competition for the bottom 6 finishers in all divisions (not in the money-spots), in a straight knockout for another bite at the proverbial cherry to try and get your hands on some cash (and a Plate).

At the same time, in previous seasons, those fortunate enough to finish in the top 4 of each division (and in the cash), have come down anyway for a Top 4's KO Comp. This one isn't funded by the league but, as you've already got some winnings coming, a small wager is the norm (previously it's been ?5 a head) with the pot split as agreed on the night.

So, wherever you finished in the tables, come down next week for the Plate/Top 4's comps, try and win some money and, as is customary, feel free to buy the organiser a pint with your winnings!

Jolly good show old bean, as per Paul's sentiments above, well played - uh I mean organised.

This league is always a good laugh and never fails to win my business - even though I hate losing.

roll on division three and my four frame KO cup head start Grin

Ditto all the rest. Comp run smoothly no major fuss or controversy. Everyone paid, nearly everyone played!

Enjoyed myself, and the practice has done me some good. However it seems i have to win 10 out of 9 to beat Kyle. Little plank, he hates the game, doesn't have a cue but still wins.

Message to Tom Telford. You are still *******! Wink

I cannot agree enough, the croydon singles league is a great format and very well organised. Mark you have done a great job and this league will be here for a very long time.
I wish I joined this before, there have been highs and a few lows playing this league, pool can drive you up the wall sometmes.

Well done to all the winners, and I cannot understand how I got into div 1, that is a fluke in itself. ShockShock
