Goodfellas 10 - Coach & Horses 0

Walkover claimed, as I received a text from Brian at 7.55pm to say they could only get 2 players together, so wouldn't be there.

The Rack Pack 5 - 5 The Better Halfs

A true gentlemans match last night in every sense of the word. Could'nt have asked for anything more.

We were hoping to defuse a little of their 12 point lead on us but that was'nt to be. The match could have gone either way to give one of us the win.
I guess the result leaves us sitting venerable in second spot of the table depending on how Rileys Snooker done last night.

Anyways, a great night of pool guys and you were great hosts. All the best for the remainder of the season.

waddon 4 - 6 flying machine

a strange match. happy for the win. could of easily been the other way around. but then again could of been more. for example when the middle pocket rubber lining was blocking the pocket and our player didnt look before he played the black into it only to see the it stop dead on the edge of the pocket against the rubber which was blocking the pocket. ref then moved it and they potted the black. in their defense our player looked at the shot and was obviosuly to pissed to see the blatent obstruction so its his fault Pfft . He won his second game and the football card so he did feel a bit better lol

good game overall, few silly mistakes by both sides but fair result i think.

good luck for remaingin fixtures guys.

What's happening to this division?

We were meant to play the ex-Jalfrazi last night so no pool for us either.

Shame really since our average score is probably pathetic but if we were to actually play Jalfrazi we would have got a guaranteed win with a possibility of making up some ground with a 9-1 or something.

Not looking good for us at the moment but we shall overcome.

exactly the same as us mate, as i said last thursday. we've started playing well, gettin wins and draws against teams from the top of the div, and last week if we had played jalfrazi's im sure we would of got more than the 5 point average score we did get. epsecially at home, on our new table.

but oh well. the 5 points we did get mean less of a gap for you to catch us Pfft

see you next tuesday Wink

Rileys Snooker 3 Pond Wheatsheaf 7 A comfortable win for us which exacted revenge for our early defeat in the reverse fixture. I didn't personally attend as the venue didn't have Sky television. It looks like the promotion issue is wide open now. Good luck to our opponents for the remainder of the season !! applause

Think the table looks like this..

Rileys Rack Pack 120
The Better Halfs 108
Pond Wheatsheaf 106
Rileys Snooker 104
Goodfellas 94
The Waddon Wizards 93
Foreign Legion 88 +?
Farley Loyalists 86 +?
Flying Machine 88
Magnum Force 78
Coach & Horses 44
Jalfrazi's Menu 0

Magnum force average worked out as 4.3 i believe, so round down to 4? that correct?

i kno whats gona happen, coach will drop out the league, meaning we'll get another average of 5/6.
once again goodfellas, your perfectly timed fixtures will work out rather well for u as it did against jalfrazis... Wink

I checked the previous results and it doesn't appear that Coach have had a no show until last night, so as far as I know they're ok for now. I can't imagine Simon taking too kindly to them not turning up, I thought he ran a tight ship with his teams. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the remainder of the season brings.

Geeeeze, can't believe we're still holding 2nd spot and only just at that !
Guess we'll have to try that much harder for the remaining fixtures to try and increase the gap and taking into account our average score at our final fixture.

Hey Dogger, I think you are correct that this is the second default of the C & H, which if so is going to throw a spanner in the works and leave a lot of us very disappointed.
I find it absolutely bizzar to learn that the C & H are struggling for players but mention The Better Halfs to them and they field a full quad. They did when they came to us in Nov of last year and we beat them 8 - 2 and they did when we attended their venue last month leaving with a 9 - 1 win. Even Mr. Ruffer showed for the match.

Well league sheets just come through... Coach & Horses suspended from the league. Average result given for your match Mark (5 - 5).

This is not a good sign for the Croydon league, 9 teams dropping out in one season, gotta be a record?

New Table:

Rileys Rack Pack 120
The Better Halfs 108
Pond Wheatsheaf 106
Rileys Snooker 104
Foreign Legion 94
The Waddon Wizards 93
Farley Loyalists 90
Goodfellas 89
Flying Machine 88
Magnum Force 78
Coach & Horses 0
Jalfrazi's Menu 0
