Group 3

Magnum Force 3 - 7 Cuemasters

Cuemasters played some good stuff but we're disappointed with the result as we only were 3-2 down at half time.

Pond 6 - Dukes 4.
Who says sportsmanship is dead - cos for Pondlife it never existed in the first place! Arrive just on time, no knock-up permitted, we go 2 - 0 up at which point Mr Humpy says the clock will be used...which lasted all of 1 game before being forgotten at the request of his players..Should have gone 3 nil up but a missed opportunity and then go 4 - 2 down, by which time Pondlife was a happy camper..final score 6-4, well played my old team-mates, good banter.

Group 7: Rack Pack 4 - 6 Patriots

A poor night from us, but there was a glimmer of hope to grab the last 3 frames from 6-1 down.

Rileys Snooker 4 - 6 Thicket Tavern

Having lost 7-3 to Farley Small Potatoes on the opening day of the season, Thicket were expecting a be given the runaround by our 1st division hosts.

After going 0-4 up, we were told their 5th player had yet to arrive and so we cracked on with game 6, which we also won to go into a 6-0 lead.

Rileys Snooker then woke up and started showing their mettle, with some assured clearances, and their 5th man arrived, and so they stopped the rot.

It has to be said that Riley's Lewisham is a much nicer place to visit than Imperial Way, and our hosts were very relaxed & welcoming. I really cannot apologise enough for one of our team (Frankie Foy) scoffing all of the host bowl of chips, mistakenly thinking they were free for all!
