I think it's due to sponsorship. I'm almost glad we didn't qualify ...

apart from the cold conditions, bad cushions, slow cloth, crap middle bags ,leans gallore and the fact that we can never warm up on the table 1st coz we get charged per game and so no 1 wants to pay for it, its nice...... the venue is good and the bar staff are nice though.

Trouble is with all u moaners is ur to spoilt. yes rileys probaly have the better tables now they have been reclothed. but truth of the matter is u will not get a better venue for pool than the farley. Pool was a pub game, and now its crept into clubs, which personally i dont think u get the same atmosphere. Dave and Betty always appreciate the pool teams and vice a versa. Good venue, good hosts and good food. And yes it is cold in there at times but f**k me we live in England u bunch of whining pussys.

If you would like to read my previous post i state that the venue is good and the guys that own the place are great and i have no issue with that but when your playin such a big game u dont want the table to be the reason teams lose. yes england is cold but we dont play pool outside in the cold its played inside.
Frith rd deals with a lot more customers on a daily basis and to be honest their tables r fine especially since they bought an iron.
I just want to enjoy playing on an even playin field and it sucks when outside influences change the quality. By the looks of things im not the only person to speak up, not here to upset just giving an opinion which is wat a forum is for.

i wouldn't moan if there was nothing to moan about!
i appreciate the efforts dave and betty put in and i think we'll probably all agree it's a great venue for viewing pool with the staired entrance.
however we don't turn up week in week out for the food (although you may find that hard to believe)
everyone wants to play pool at the highest standard they can, especially in the business end of competitions and that simply means playing on the best tables available!
