Now it's a very interesting last two games

But good luck to wayne and his team

I think the league has to sort out these tables and the size because what I witnessed last night was utter *******!!! Dean I'll take my hat off tho to your team as u play week in week out on that slope of a carpet and it helps and works in your favour!!!!! I feel like Metin now lmao!! Most of our team turned up an hour b for the game but the maple tree Hogg the table till near start of the match.... With the bye and 2 hard games coming our way and you having home advantage again I could see u snatching the title out of our hands ... Some poor judgement on our side could of cost us winning this again!!!!!!!!!!
am not sticking my acheivements down the list is too long lmao surrender

Fair comment on table size!! There has never been a rule on table size But there used to be 1 on being able to use a cue all the way around a table without interference from walls pillars and fruit machines.lol. Div 1 only but not in croydon league.
The maple tree table has vastely improved over the the last 2 seasons. Inasmuchas it has been reclothed levelled and brushed on all home game matches.
there are far worse tables than ours u could complain about.
When I started playing for the maple tree the table was horrendous and everyone moaned about it even the home team, Myself included Now it's only certain opposing teams/players that find the slightest roll if the ball is played too slowly.

There has to my knowledge never been a rule about table size or room. It has been brought up on hundreds of occassions, and I think the general concensus is that its a pub league, and you have to take the rough with the smooth. My honest opinion is that if you are the better player you are the better player, you still have more chance of potting a ball than an idiot if it was played on a postage stamp.

At one point late 80's early 90's, a former player started legal proceedings to do with something to do with a table. Dont think it will evever change, there isnt enough pubs in this league as it is.

There is actually a rule on table size in our league rules:

23. All League competition matches must be played on either a standard 7'x 4' or 6'x 3'6" pool table using standard 2" diameter object balls and 1.7/8" diameter cue ball.

The table size is also specified, as above, on the team application form (where you state how many tables your venue has), so it's not like it's hidden in the rules (and even if it was, it's up to people to read them).

As for room round the table, that's not actually specified in writing.

As has been mentioned many times and at many AGMs, some tables are outside the specified limits but they're here to stay. As Shaggy said, pubs are a dying breed anyway, so let's not alienate the few that are hanging in there.

As for Dotcom moaning.. that's even less likely to change than the tables.

Thanks for the call Andy and thanks for
saying we deserved the win.
Yes has it as been said b4 it is tight
around parts of the table.but everyone
knows we have and always will play in worse
and tighter venues.
There is afew places I don't like playing in
but you only have to go there once a season.
But as I said to you on the phone good luck
mate for the rest of the season mate

The mighty lodgers 6-4 the untouchables.

Very even match all the way through. Shame Nelio only brought 4 players!
Good game lads thumb
