Misfits 5-5 Penge Con Boys

Yes, the 100% record has gone, but I would have taken this result before we started....

The table was a very strange one....the cloth appeared slow, but playing balls at a steady pace generated movement....and the pockets didn't like hard shots....one of the middle pockets gave 3 of our guys a bounce out....

We were 2-0 down by the time we had worked this out, and although they cannoned the black in-off to put one on the board for us, they won a tactical scrap in the 4th to go 3-1 up....we levelled at 3-3, thanks to another in-off black (although we would have won that one anyway)....winning another tactical scrap in the 8th put it at 4-4.....we could have had a break-dish in the 9th, but still won it to give us the lead for the firat time on the night...10th frame, we go in-off on the break, they clear up - and it wasn't easy....

As I said before, we would have taken that result at the start of the night....they still have to come to us for the last game of the season...let's see what happens....

The Lord Napier 4 - 6 Another View

The table was smooth but had some rolls to the right which both teams struggled with.

We were also 2-0 down but managed to pull back too 2-3 by the half time break. Pub was empty due to palace match, Nice hot food on a very cold night. 2nd half started, they pull back to 3-3. I had terrible night losing bothe my games 0/2, Steve 2/2.

Back to the match 3-4, than 3-5, 4-5. looked like a draw which would have been a fair result but made it 4-6.

Great team, look forward to the return at our place.
