Penge Con Boys 6-4 Plan B

Having won 9-1 away (albeit with a touch of good fortune), I was confident that 7-3 would be acheivable....how wrong could I be....

Having made the running in the first two frames, we find ourselves 2-0 down...in a winning position in the third, our player is taken ill suddenly, and is unable to continue, so we have to concede that one too...a massive tactical scrap saw us get one on the board, and we got to halfway 3-2 down...at 4-2 down, every frame is crucial, but fortunately we had already won once this season from that position, so the experience helped....the 7th saw our player make a silk purse out of a pig's ear, when even I thought it was lost...another tactical scrap in the 8th saw us draw level....a quickfire 9th put us in the lead for the first time, before a few nervous moments in the 10th, which we managed to bring home....

Make no mistake, Plan B have improved massively since the early part of the season, and they pushed us hard....they will have more wins before the end of the season...

Our player who was taken ill....he is at home and doing ok...it is NOT alcohol related...

SE20's 3 - 7 Another View

Good night all round, 1st half 2-3 up but a bit of a swerve on the table, home guys reset the table for the 2nd half which was much better and the rest fell into place for us anyway. all the boys & lady, played well, all close games they just went in our favour.

Best of luck for the rest of the season.
