Pond Q's 8 Rileys Snooker 2

A bit of a one-sided encounter, but very pleased with the overall performance and result. I understand that our opponents in the semi-final will be The Better Halfs who scraped a very fortunate 8-1 against The Forum. applause

Certainly a deserved victory for the Unpredictables, a very indifferent performance from us.
Had some moments, notably Met in his 1st, and Shaggs in his 2nd, but apart from that it was a story of missed pots and position which you won't get away with at this stage of the comp.
We were comfortably 2nd best, and got exactly that...

Good luck Unpredictables.

Semis as follows:

Prop vs. Unpredictables
Better Halfs vs. Pond Q's

Best of 15 at the Farley has Midnight + finish written all over it, but should be a great night for all involved.

I was of the opinion that as part of their sponsorship, the latter stages of all knockout competitions would be held at Rileys. Am I wrong ? It certainly wouldn't be the first time.

That's what I thought too, but Steve Rowlerson informed me a few weeks ago that as sponsers of the League Cup, his firm (I.C.Cool) had nominated the Farley as the venue for the Semi's and Final, so that's where it is.

I hope that someone is going to let the council know about all the parking charges that they will be losing. I can see the rates going up again to compensate.

The more deserved team won last night, I dont think there is any debate in that.

Whether by choice or necessity we got drawn into a number of long games and come out the wrong side on virtually all of them.

Unpredicatbles are a fine side when at full strength so no dissgrace, however obviously we are disappointed as didn't show our best, when a treble was only a few matches away.

good luck to all the teams left.

Well done unpredicts on winning !
As said before better team and deserved what they got for taking chances.
Was a very scrappy game and not many dishes.
Missed chances from both!
Good luck in Farley (every cloud) Grin

Prop 8-4 Cuemasters

We were 3-0 and 5-1 down, pulled back to 6-4 at one stage, but (apart from Lee's dish to put our first frame on the scoreboard) we were shocking and I don't know how we even got 4.
