I'm surprised to see there's nothing on here about Brian, but if you didn't know he was mugged on the way home from the presentation night in Penge over a week ago.

He took the bus from Penge to Croydon and remembers nothing after that. They took his phone, wallet and KO Cup runners up trophy.

He was in Mayday for a few days and of course couldn't come to league on Tuesday, but recently I got a text saying he had a spleen op on Monday and is STILL in hospital (Queens 2).

It would be great if we could have a whip round and maybe see if we could get his trophy replaced?

Get well soon Brian.

Too true mate, he's a stand up bloke. I just wish I could have caught that scum at it.

The KO Cup runners up trophy was more like an egg cup so I'm sure it won't cost you much mate Wink

I'll update this thread as & when i hear more news about Brian's condition.

Yes Andy to right m8....in the next few weeks if all the secretary's could do a little whip round for Clarky it would b a great gesture for 1 ov our lads....got me thinking we should put our league subs up even just a fiva so we can contribute each year towards the same sort ov things...a little from every1 can make a difference n show that our league as the resources to do the right thing...I'd like to propose this for next AGM butter wouldn't melt ...

^ Nice to see the love in here for a change instead of people slagging each other off. Smile

So I've not done a very good job of keeping this updated but the latest news is that sadly Brian has lost his spleen. This will mean a life of antibiotics and an end to drinking.

Everyone who has been to see him have all said he's his usual cheery self - all smiles and "don't worry about me." What a legend.

Mr. Clarke we salute you.
