Croydon B suffered a 17-10 defeat by Godalming A last night and I have to say that the result did not reflect the effort that went in by the Croydon boys but I take nothing away from our opponents who were a quality side. The new lads playing Inter-League for the first time played really well and will go on and get stronger as the season goes on as this was their hardest game being the first one. The old guard of Terry Doke and Gary Swettenham rolled back the years with 2 wins out of their respective 3 frames and Graham "The German" Thompson playing in his first inter-league game at his age recorded the same. Special mention has to go to a new boy though with James Curtis (Rileys Misfits) also recording 2 wins from 3 matches.
