THE ALMA TAVERN 3 THE EAGLES 8

A very rude awakening for us on our return to the top division. Almost every game was a break and dish. The Eagles have a very good mix of youth and experience. We can take some comfort from the fact that we started at the top. I would be very surprised if there is another side that is stronger than them. Of course it is quite possible that my initial observations are a little wide of the mark. It certainly would not be the first time. Apart from the result, it was a very enjoyable evening which lasted for about an hour and a half. I can't recall such an early finish. My wife thought that I was a burglar when I got home so early. If this carries on, I will have to drive home slower.
