So . . We've played at least 4 matches, including a KO Cup match where we have a 1-frame playoff . .

. . how are you all finding it so far?

Prefer it? Hate it? Like the fact you can easily play with 5 as much as 10? Like the one frame playoff? Like the new match distance? Finding it's running over timewise?

It's got everyone talking, which is a good thing.
I personally like the format.

I also like the newly established flexibilty with reagards to the playing order, and would prefer to see it stay that way if honest.
So long as the same two people don't play eachother, no worries.

I think it could do with a one man play off at the end of a 5-5 to determine a winner, as it's nice to feel victorious.

Time wise it's better. You get more pool for your evening, the landlords and club owners benefit from that aswell, and there is flexibility there for those who need it.

Think the new structure works out well. We had 5 turn up for the first section last night, one left to go to work and another turned up at the same time the other was leaving tp play the 2nd half.

Timewise we were all done by 9.20..all out attack play with no safeties/fudging in sight

Don't know how it happens, but so far 9.40 finish against the Folly, 10 against the Big Spuds and 9.20 yesterday against Chopper Squad. Heck our old games of 7 used to take longer, so if it speeds up everyones game, we're all for it.

I too like the format. However, we need an extra game if its 5-5 if bonus points are still in play come the winter.

In the Farley singles league, the matches are best of 8 with 3 bonus points for a win and 1 bonus point a piece for a draw. Is there any reason why this couldn't be introduced?

The other option could be instead of the play-off at 5-5, the secretaries game could be used as the 11th game.

I personally like the format as is, but as for playing an extra frame for glory would be wrong.
what I would like to see introduced is a scoring system the same as the football league, I,E 3pts per win 1pt per draw.Using the frame won and lost in the for and against column.gossipping

This i feel would make for an even more exciting league.

As for all knockouts there need be no need for any changes.butter wouldn't melt ...
