Several people have mentioned extending league matches to more frames in the future

Other leagues have 15 frames a match, although with an earlier start time of 8

I have created a new poll for this

What do people think?

I think this pole is a bit premature. We haven't even tried it in anger yet. The result now will be different to the result after we have been playing it for a while.

Even plan 'B' has failed

I think it should be increased to 15 frames. Also include a scotch doubles encounter in the last frame of every set.

Losing eyes this game is cruel. I do my thing playing pool.

i quite like the format as it is now, with an even number of frames a win is that much harder to get too.
if you introduce longer matches the better teams are less likely to fall over

I think its a good idea, always up for a change, but should start at 8pm, but straight singles format over 3 x sessions.
Mind even with a min rule, will all games including the sec game will be finished before closing time???

keep it as it is! after having reservations of the 10 frame matches i have to admit i do like the format but i think 15 frames would really be a bad idea and incur to many late nights.

Who wants to give the Eagles the Div 1 title by Christmas? Its bad enough letting them think they have it in the bag by mid March.

10 frames is more than enough.

The only change that may be considered would be a move to a deciding frame ie 11 frames. Only so that there then has to be a winner.

I personally dont have any preference, quite happy the way it is. Nonetheless, played Doubles in Tolworth, completely dross if I am honest.

I don't understand how we would keep the current format and have an odd number of frames. There would have to be an odd number of sets surely?
I like it the way it is now anyway, just curious.

Em Dee, I would personally like to see the same format adopted for league matches as currently exists for the cup . You cannot have a draw in the cup ! If the score is tied at 5-5 ,there is a one frame play off. Why shouldn't that be applied in the league as well ?
