So . . Tonight's the night . . Against the odds Israel gave England a lifeline to the extent that they only need a draw tonight to secure qualification for Euro 2008 . .

. . is it going to be happy ever after or are we in for more of the disappointment we've become accustomed to as English football fans?

If I can get a babysitter for tonight I'll be VERY happy - Rileys are doing £1 a pint on Fosters, John Smiths and Strongbow from 7.30pm until half an hour after the match!!

Phone call to my mother, methinks . . .

We will scrape the result we need. The FA will sack McClown for making an easy group look difficult, hire Mourinho and we will win Euro 2008 and the World Cup.

Or we will scrape the result we need, McClown will keep his job, we'll lose in the quarters on penalties. The FA will think that's enough to keep his job and we'll do the same in the World Cup.

0-0 draw, both teams through. Seriously Croatia arent going to go overboard in case it costs them the group. England wont go mad in case it costs them qualification. Its a done deal, game over. FACT!

Clearly its not a fact, but everyone says it in posts, and the use of Upper Case is creeping into this site. Not a good thing I believe.

Why oh why did we slow the game down after equalising????

To coin a phrase, "they didn't like it up'em", so why not go get the third?

Mclaren P45, Beckham 99 and out, Lescott (why pick him in the first place?), Carson (goalkeeping 101 - get BEHIND the ball).

Still, the ref had a good game....wall

Seems mad. Can only assume they felt Croatia would settle for the draw having already won the group.

England were dire although I wouldn't single Becks out as being one of the worst.

What I will never understand is the change of goalkeeper.

Surprise Surprise
No mention about the Chelsea sh*t that was in the team then statto??
Frank (i only pass the ball sideways) Lampard the most over-rated footballer on this planet or Wayne Bridge who on last nights performance makes Phil Neville look like a world class left back.

No mention of Joe Cole or Shaun Wright-Phillips who were arguably England's best two players in the first half, either....hitting with a chair
