The Jolly 6-4 The Warbank

Disappointing result tonight, as we were 2-0 down, managed to draw level at 3-3, and very unlucky not to obtain a draw in the final frame. On a number of frames, we had to compensate for the table, which did not help matters.

All the best to the guys at the Jolly, great food also, look forward to the return match.

Cuemasters 6-4 Unpredictables

Obviously Dave Mac, Gary and myself were not missed too much. 3-2 down at half time I believe.

eden 5 v 5 forum a

we were 4-1 down so a good result in the end although we should have been 4-1 up. I think our best front 5 all season is 3-2 down so we just cant seem to get off to a good start.

Must have been something in the tomatoes! Most of the cuemasters chose plain sausage rolls, all the unpreds chose sausage and tomato. I could hardly keep my eyes open during my 2nd game, and I was only on my 6th pint...

Well played I suppose... b******s!

At 2-0 up we were thinking happy thoughts and then up step MOD to totally change the tide of the match. He made it 2-1 and before we know it a couple of shaky frames and a piss easy missed black from myself and we are 4-2 down. Huge frames from Simon, Casey and Stuart turned the tide and MOD was unable to repeat the performance in the decider with us running out a rather streaky 6-4 winner with Andy bringing home the bacon (and tomato).

An entertaining match if nothing else and the standard was not overall that high but the tension was there for sure. At the moment we seem to be taking the decisive 10th frame which bodes well for the rest of the season.

See you in the return guys

League Table
Propeller - 38
Eagles - 36
Hot Shots - 33 (guess)
Cuemasters - 29
Patriots - 29
Jolly - 24
Warbank - 26
Unpredictables - 25
Eden - 22
Forum A - 20
Imperials - 16
Pot Luck - 2 (guess)

Superb result for the Propeller who have started brilliantly but still as tight as you like the whole way up and down the league.

As sting has said...we can't get a lead in the opening 5 for love nor money, only twice all season & that was in the Lg cup
We need to get into gear a lot quicker in the next 2 weeks with the Prop/Ego's back-to-back

An odd game yesterday ag the forum - who have some good players (namely Baylis & Clarke) The opening 5 frames we had chances 1st in every frame & in 3 out of 5 we had 2 visits with a relatively easy finish on, but managed to take none of the frames, then the 2nd set we had a bit of run & took out the finishes to get a draw...which in reflection was probably just about right
HOW LONG LEFT ?

yes, again a bad match from us that our opponents took advantage from us. they started well 2-0 up against us and we did well to win the next 4 to go 4-2 up. then, just as we though we had the advantage they won the last 4 to win 6-4. so as you can imagine a great match of low standards as both teams had frames which were somewhat cringe worthy lol. look forward to have a chance of revenge at ours.
