riley cuemasters 3-6 the eagles
really good match of pool tonight probably the best we have ever been involved in! was pretty much one visit pool from start to finish with probably no more than half a dozen pots missed if that all night!
credit to the eagles who again showed there class but we can all feel proud to the way we played in what really was a great match to be involved in.
we may need a bigger boat..! |

The Eagles have won over 30 winter league trophies so I do feel qualified to say this. Tonight was the second best game of pool I have ever seen |

Jolly "A" 6 - 5 The Maple Tree
All credit to a Maple Tree team who came back from 4-1 down to 5-5. We were in total control, then the fightback began
Only a fantastic black from Steve Young was the difference in the end
Great spirit from a team in the 3rd who i am sure will get promoted this year.
Yes, a bit of tension throughout the match, only expected when becoming evenly poised and both teams want to win.

Standard wise, our game was sicker than a plane to Lourdes.
6 of the 9 were first visit finishes, with no less than 4 Break & Dishes.
It was Pool's equivalent of 20/20 Cricket !!!
Very enjoyable match to be involved with, and as a fan, was very pretty on the eye.

Went 1-0 down, then it was us all the way winning the next 6...

Went 2 nil down 4-2 up 5-4 up only to lose the decider
Not the best performance tonight although a very good debut from Alan Mehmet who won his 2 & was sooooo unlucky not to take out a brilliant black to win the shoot out....But on the the flip side, John Hersey won 3 out of 3 & played very well all night from the moment he B & D at 1 to winning at 4-2 down to keep them in the match & then the decider.....
All in all we can't grumble as we were not at it last night.....roll on the ego's match tonight

Some good stuff from Rileys with back to back single visits from Geron and Roger that put us on the back foot early doors. 
Second week on the bounce I'm the only player to win any games for us, hopefully we can get a few more winners tonight.

What was the best game?
I thought Tom's clearance from the Shark's dry break was the pick of the bunch and at a crucial stage of the match too. |

lol thx for reminding me! but full credit to young telford jnr took it very well and at 3-4 down as you say it was at a crucial point of the match! 6-3 never really showed how close the match was but for mr nuttman to say in his post about it being the 2nd best game he has been involved in is a credit to both the teams! good luck to the eagles for the rest of the competition but on last night form i really cant see anyone stopping them!.
