The Warbank 5-5 Patriots

The weather forcast at the Warbank this evening! lol
We were 3-0 down, brought to back to 3-3each, then going 5-3 down and then getting a draw.
Once again our table let us down, which cost us at vitial times, with bad cushions etc... not fair or right league standard and will be addressed asap!

All the best to the Tony & co, look forward to the return back at the Thomas Farley.

Jolly A 5-5 Cuemasters

Gutted really as should have won this at least 7-3 based on opportunities we had, but we missed 4 blacks, didnt use 2 shots when we had them, yet still managed to play really well. Credit to the guys for hanging in there
Still, we are hanging around the top end of the table deservedly Smile
Pleasure as always playing the CM's, see you at yours handshake

Can't disagree, we were below par tonight and lucky to escape with a draw.

Unpredict's 5-5 Eden

5 zip up at the half way point should really of punished our opponents instead we was pegged back to 5 a piece, a relentless performence from the Eden.

Goodluck for the rest of the season in 2010, for the beans......laughing

Hotshots 6 - 4 Propeller

Really disappointing result - threw away at least three frames!! Rod even finished with 0 out of 2, and we still couldn't take advantage!
Pleased to beat Rod in the frame I played, keeps up my 100% record in the league!

Warbank 5-5 Patriots. Was not the best table to play on but have played on worse this season ie-the eagle. Both chances for either side but probaly a fair result in the end.

Its the 2nd game this season where we really have got out of jail. Jolly defo should have won the match and deserved to in many ways and we were certainly happy to walk out with our unbeaten record in tact.

Good bunch of guys. I do however have to say the table is more than a little dodgy. For one the middle pockets have no lip what so ever. It is possible for the balls to sit over the middle pockets like they do they corners meaning that anything from a slight angle is nearly impossible to pot. Also had a roll - The roll would not be as noticeable on a normal table but when you are playing a dead weight ball the length of half a snooker table the ball rolls off significantly enough to cause regular unforseen fouls. Not taking anything away from this team who deserve their placing in the top 6 but I would say honestly it is a great home table to have and gives an advantage if you are used to it.

Good luck for the rest of the season guys.

That's the beauty of home advantage.
If everyone played on level supremes, it would be boring.

The Jolly table throws a few spanners in the works, and makes for some good scorelines.
I actually thought the cuemasters would excel there, being predominantly made up of very good snooker players, but just goes to show you.

At the other end of the scale, the little tables (Surrey Cricketers / Thicket / Earl of Eldon), as much as I truly detest them, I have to admit they make a great leveller.

Back on topic:

The Eagles 8
Forum A 2

Flattering result in the end, Forum certainly should have had more.

Shaggy was MOTM with a dish fest from heaven, briefly threatened by a bounce out, but he powered through.

Thanks Spud, Berty,

yep, table is different to others agreed, but people forget that we do actually have some really good players too
Results against the top four work out at P40 frames, W20 L20, so cant all be down to table

Was not suggesting it was all down to the table at all but for me it is more of a home advantage than any other table I have seen in the league (div 1) to date, nothing worng with that just my opinion. As I said taking nothing away from you guys at all who are really taking the division by the scruff of the neck and deserve to be where you are and I think I did say that. Anyhoop I am dog turd at snooker and have knackered eyesight for the long pots so it was never gonna be good for me!

I don't think the table had a huge bearing on the result, we were a bit rusty after the Christmas break and were a few players short. There were a few roll offs here and there and I found it a bit slow but as Sailor says, the Jolly are where they are in the division on merit.

I have never lost at the Jolly but dislike the table, but thats my problem, and its only actually the middle pockets I dont like. I have never won at the Warbank and hate that table to. At the end of the day, there are very few tables that don't have any problems at all. Rolls, table size, bounce outs, cushions etc. Thats part of the fun!

No I agree. Its horrible, but that said I genuinely think the Jolly boys (especially the best two players in their team (my opinion: no names)) would play much better on better tables.

home advantage should be about your own enviroment, surroundings, people.... not knowing how and what way your table is fcuked...!!!

as for being a great levele,r they are but what's the point of hampering a better team so you can win, surely you'd want to win on your own merits?
