this monday sees the quarter final stages of the league cup taking place down rileys in purley
with 4 very interesting matches taking place!

THE PROP V THE EAGLES.

match of the round without a doubt and a hard one to predict! 4 weeks ago this
would have been looked at as a banker for the eagles but with a slight dip in form
in recent weeks the prop could well fancy there chances! tough call but just think
the eagles will have enough to win 8-6 in a hard fought match.

THE HOT SHOTS V THE JOLLY.

another tough match up that again really could go either way! was very impressed
with the jolly last week and a repeat performance minus a slow start could see them
really trouble the hot shots
50/50 this one so gonna sit on the fence but could well go to the wire.

RILEY CUEMASTERS V THE IMPERIALS.

after getting through a tough group we obviously feel quite confident of progressing
but will pay the utmost respect to an imps team who produced a fantastic win over
the eagles a few weeks ago and have nothing to lose! with our priorities in this
competition we will hopefully progress.

THE UNTOUCHABLES V THE POND WHEATSHEAF

know very little about the untouchables but heard there a usefull team with some
decent players! the pond are never an easy team to play against and if they can
impose there style of game on the untouchables i would expect them to win but
then again there opponents really could be the dark horses in this competition.

Untouchables 8-4 The Pond Wheatsheaf

Another victory for the mighty Untouchables against a full strength Pond
side(apart from Pat) who never seems to grace the line up anymore....

Could and should have been a bigger score with the first three frames going
the wrong way with 3 in off the blacks,1 for us and 2 going the way of the Pond

Man of the match has to go to the welsh wizzard with two break dishes.one of
which he unfortunatly potted the black and the opponents yellow.......

A special mention to Danny for bring home the victory with his own break and dish...

Well Pat its over to you for your twisted turn of events as seen through your rose
tinted glass.........lol
blue is the colour pool is the game!!!!!!

We can consider ourselves very fortunate, as the Prop were the better side last night.
They played the better pool all the way through, but just couldn't sneak over the line.
We hung on by the skin of our teeth, and managed to level from 7-5 down.

On comes TomT, his first frame of the evening, and the biggest game of our season so far, and played a blinder under pressure.

His refereeing skills are still shabby at best though ;-)

Semi Final Line up:

Cuemasters vs. Untouchables

Hot Shots vs. Eagles

Best of 15's next Monday @ Suzy's.

The Untouchables are a very good side ! They turned up last night and we didn't !! I think that the match would have been a lot closer if we had won more tosses . Good luck to them for their semi-final against the Cue Masters. It should be a goodun !! applause

good win last night against the imps! we played well and took most of the chances that came our way! really good comeback for the eagles who were pretty much behind the whole game i belive! was suprised how one sided the hot shots/jolly game was but when you seen miss cues when the frame looks won you know it not your night! & another good win for the untouchables over the pond as well!

Pat, that is strange - I have always been told u are a great *******. Never mind, just like Arsenal, keep believing that next year u will win something. Unless that involves the other side having 11 men and not boys...Grin

well the hotshots jolly match was a total joke how the hell we won 8 2 i will never know and nor will them,i hope the jolly lads forgive me but my god they had a bad bad night,i can remember at least 4 frames with 3 balls siting over the pocket and the black and still not getting the win,as for us we were tottaly uesless apart from a certain young man breaking and dishing twice on the night for his 7th and 8th dish of the seasonevil laughbut in fairness the eagles will be licking they lips for a semi agianst us after what was a schocking display of pool

You obviously wasnt paying attention to our game. With a couple of exceptions we were absolutely dross last night, and how we managed to win is beyond me. It seems if we were playing you guys last night we would still be there now.

It seems the winner of our semi is playing for runners up now. Wink
