Blundells 11-8 misfits

Good close battle last night on the adults table. We aimed to win every set and that's exactly what we did. Misfits showed some class and took out some good finishes as well as playing some great tactical frames so could have easily gone the other way.

The Alma Refugees 9-11 Farley Loyalists

A great match to be involved with as both sides produced quality finishes at times. It was one of those games that had 10-10 written all over it but captain lee took us over the line with a clinical finish. I can't really single anyone out as it was a team effort last night but I must say that Billy's 4 from 4 was pretty to watch and it was good to watch Steve Rains back in action before the Winter League campaign starts again.

Actually Mark the score was 11-8 Grin, but fair play to the Refugees as we just could not shake them off until the final set

I must be getting old m8 if I can't type an 8 instead of the 9 next door lol. I got to agree though that the refugees would not go away and fair play to them for getting there noses in front at 5-4 when they were 4-2 down but having recovered from that to go 7-5 up gave us that crucial cushion with the refugees having to play catch up from there on. All in all a superb semi-final with the other game being just as tight with the blundells taking the misfits to the same winning score line. Not quite sure what Mr McIntosh is implying with his "Adult Table" statement but no doubt it will come to life at some point. This should have the makings of a good final and nice to see some old boys from the 80's and 90's playing at this stage again with my ex team mates from that time .... Mr Todd, Mr Panther and Mr Taylor being part of our opponents squad.

Sorry, i've tarnished you all with the same brush. Find it comical when someone lobs their cue accross the room. I know a couple of 6 year olds that do it. But to be fair they wouldnt have missed that dolly red Grin

No worries Ben, no offense taken but i was reffing that game and I just think it was a moment of madness from Mr Westbook and I can fully understand his frustrations about missing that ball. Its a wonder he did not take any of his team mates eyes out with that lob lol.
