I am Chris Brooker from the pool team 1 player short. The reason we are called this is because too many times we turn up short of a full team due to the fact we only have 6 players signed & one of those only plays in emergencies.
This season we only have 5 players signed (including the one who only plays in emergencies) & are looking for one or two more players to join us.
We play in division 2 & are a middle table team who enjoy the game & do not take it too seriously, so the standard of player we want isn't too important to us, just anyone who wants to play pool & have a bit of fun will be fine.
With 2 Crystal Palace season ticket holders in our team there will be too many Tuesdays with only 3 players this winter season, so if you are interested please reply on this thread or PM me.
Bricklayers Arms also (now) in Div II is in an identical position. 5 registered players, playing out of Bricklayers Arms in Sydenham (a very nice clean pub round the corner from Fox's)
Ex Thicket/William/Colby, we're a friendly bunch, and team selection is based on 2 rules.
1. You turn up you play.
2. 2nd/3rd games awarded to players with best recent stats/form
We'll be having practice night for the team with free table in the Brick for the next two Tuesday evenings, so any interested players who want to meet the team and try the pub/table please turn up from about 7:30, and let our team secretary know you'd like to join in (number is on the secretary contact list)?
