Rileys (Frith Rd) started to shut at 11 exactly tonight with all the pool tables and bar being closed. The staff were accommodating and let us finish our match which was shortly after 11, but it wasn't a very pleasant way to end the evening.

Is there any way the Croydon Pool league can lobby Rileys to stay open to 12, so at least we can have a more enjoyable finish to the night ?

I can see this causing a problem with potential slower matches where teams may get asked to come back to finish their matches on another night.

Suspect the problem is that the staff are only payed up to 11, which seems a bit ridiculous as that's 'last orders' rather night finish for the staff.

Am loving this summer league ,felt obliged to enter the Prop into it because of our long standing history in cpl, knowing full well we were be fighting relegation and it was going to be a tough hard season...but we love that and even though some of our better players have failed to turn up for most of the season the rest of the boys have stood tall and stepped up to the plate,im very proud of these guys and we are actually in with an outside chance of winning the league...luke thompson as played sublime pool since his shaky start, big Al im sure was never that good as suddenly turned into a gr8 player with balls of steal, the rest of us have played well and im beginning to get my game back aswel which is nice,we may not win nothing but its been a blast thus far and it goes to show you that even if your team as a weak look to it a bit of team spirit goes a long long way Grin and finally isnt it great that 5 or 6 teams are challenging for the title...(dont come back in the winter eagles its boring having a team full of top players running away with the league every year) butter wouldn't melt ...
