I must be honest and say I never expected a win of this size against a team as good as the boys from Langley. Everyone has to have a bad day at the office, perhaps this was their "Awful Juan"
Or maybe it was Shaggy getting the point required to secure the divisional singles title that inspired everyone. Roy Shilling rattled the black to just miss out on a break dish, only to pot it next visit after being snookered. Two more quick and dominant wins saw us 4-1 up at halfway...by 9.15!!
We carried this on in the second set, with 4 more dominant wins...In fact, at 8-2, the only two frames we had lost were by rattling the black only for the opposition to pull out excellent shots to clear awkward balls to get on the black.
In all fairness, probably our best performance as a team this season...A few more of these earlier in the season might have seen us challenge for trophies...but hey Ho...
