I think the issue here is that Mick is contacting people directly to rea-arrange games and not ensuring one of the 4/5 organisers are aware what is going on.

Ultimately its a Thursday night league and whilst there is no intention to make it difficult to re-arrange when absolutely necessary, it takes away the social element of the league, which was missing last year, and something that we would prefer not to be repeated. In addition how are disputes supposed to be dealt with if none of the organsiers are there.

A 9 week commitment to play as many games as possible on the agreed dates surely is not too much of a difficulty.

Its not a personal criticism, but to date their have been 5 matches that have been needed to re-arranged for varying reasons and its something we want to keep to a minimum.

Last nights results were (I think)

Prem

Rod Altes 8 vs. Mark Miller 4
Charles Burrows 3 Danny Evans 9
Chris Knock 7 Hughie Telford 5
Phil Wates 8 Mickey Samuels 4
Sean Kelly 9 Kyle Pickett 3

Division 1

Michael Huggins 5 Mark Stallard 7
Paul de Silveira 10. Martin Duncan 2
Paul Saxton 3 Jon Prothero 9
Paul Wholley ??? Dan Mason ????
Richard Morley 6 Donna Evans 6

Great wins for Sean and Knocky in the Prem, and saw some pretty sick stuff from Paul Da Silveira in Div 1. Pots off 8 eight cushions to leave gaps for the black left right and centre. Everything that could go right did! Good win for Mark Stallard too. Won 4 of last 5 to nick a win.

I really enjoyed it last night although it's the first time I have played sober.

Our match was played in good spirit, which always makes it more enjoyable.

Having managed to get a 6-3 lead after starting 2-0 down, Donna played well to bring it back to 6-6. I must admit I did lose my concentration a bit...I did ask her NOT to wear a low cut top!!!
