Prop 3 Coney 4

Great win from 3-2 down from what I hear. Paul winning on 7 against Mark H M. The Coney had never beaten the Prop before so a nice way to sign off against a great team.

Also heard the Bloodhounds beat the Eagles 5 - 2. Utmost respect to the Hounds for probably the most dramatic turnaround in the second half of the season for a long long time. Div 1 calibre for sure. Shouldn't effect the Eagles title ambitions though.

The Mighty Eden won 4-3 against the Rack Pack. We were a few players down and so we only had 6 including the spanish fisherman. We went 3-0 up (including a great clearance by the pedro himself!), then back to 3-3. We agreed as both teams only had 6 that we would pick our own number 7's, I was captain for the night so thought i had to volunteer and i managed to beat Paul Hailison to secure the win.

Very nice bunch of lads the rack pack, will be a shame to see them slip out of the top flight but hopefully they can get a couple more players and get back up soon.

That result should secure the Eden finishing above our friendly rivals the coney for the final time. Looking down on them seems fitting as they dissolve....

Fitting end for the Coney to finally beat the only major team in the league that we never have before. As usual could have gone either way but credit to Merv, Spry and Saxton for top quality finishes. Hard to focus for a lot of us though with United v Barca in the background. I have never ever seen Swetts play 1 and be that aggressive before all in the hope of finishing before the 2nd half started...

the patriots 5-2 bromley cuemasters.

the 3 man cuemasters rolled into the eagle last night feeling rather embarrased..! last night, really was a case of playing so we dont get thrown out the division as i belive to be the case if you turn up with less than 3. total joke tho could have had a 4th player but thought was a bit unfair to ask someone to do a 50 mile round trip that would have absolutely no bearing on the result. just confirms that major changes are needed and with 2 other regular players quiting after this season a merge with our other team is the only alternative,

Bloodhounds 5 - 2 Red Deer Eagles

This was an historic night for the underdogs (no pun intended)!

Even after going 2-0 down (usual wins for Kyle and Danny), we won five frames on the spin, including two excellent break-dishes! The surprising thing about my one was that I broke for only the 4th time in 19 games this season (I usually put the other fella in!)

It has been a great turnaround for us this season - the confidence has obviously grown as we've settled into the demands of div. 1, and we now want to build on this next season!!

The Eagles are a great bunch of fellas and will be crowned worthy champions next week!!Shockne:

Well done to the Bloodhounds, from 2-0 down to take the next 5!! Strange though how you would let Div 1 quality to break, surely you are asking for trouble inviting class on the table, IMO. Eagles will still clinch the title.

Have to say that Saxton showed that he has big kahoonas when it comes to the crunch, although during his frame he did show his lack of knowledge which should have cost us the match.

And once again top quality food provided from the Riley bunchapplause

Did the Hot Shots win big last night? If so, could only be a handful of points seperating the top two.....

Would be a major collapse by the Eagles if the Hot Shots were to go on and nick it.

nice to break the final duck that the Coney had last night. Another 7th frame clincher from the ever improving saxton I am sure he will be an asset to which ever team he joins for the next campaign.

Bring on next week for what can only be described as pointless pool but we are going to introduce shots of vodka for every pot missed which considering how pony we are could get quite messy.

Big up

The Hot Shots won 6-1 so there is now 4 points in it.

Major collapse doesn't quite cover it. In fact it wouldn't even scratch the surface.

I have actually been working on my breaking, as I didn't feel I was getting the split of the balls that was gonna give me the advantage.

I'm now copying Danny's technique when breaking and so far the balls are flying!! Who needs coaching, when you can blatantly copy others???laughing

Hot Shots did win 6-1, although the Unpredictables only had Danny B, Luke, Terry, Mick and Fran!! Not easy to go in with only five against the Shots!!

i was pissed off yesterday.

I no longer live in T.Heath so to be told at work that antother member of staff whos been there for all of 4 months has been given a pay rise because theyve been promoted to supervisor, yet myself who has been supervisor before I got a transfer to that club and have been for well over a year will not be getting any rise in my wage at all even though i wasn't given one when i was promoted! I then road rage all the way to thornton heath. I'm there for about 5 mins when I'm due to play and halligan breaks and dishes on me, kind of pissed me off swear lol

so yeah, enough of my rant. GG hot shots Pfft

Irrespective of result cards we have been top and dominant in this league all year. Its fair to say that it will be annoying to say the least if one mad night, and the deduction of two points would decide the league.

I sincerely hope we get our arses into gear and stop any such discussions.

I hope the Bloodhounds play as well next week as they did last night they were the better team,we had chances but played too many bad shots.Against the Patriots next week will be a different story.

Now that would a terrible day for the league if it did....

Maybe its time to consider introducing on-line posting of results..

The next logical step would be to introduce the option to either fax or scan result cards . . I can appreciate the need for signatures and documented proof of frames rather than an online input . .

Not only that but it takes a job away from Mark Halsey who always has and probably always will do a good job when it comes to league adminstration . .

Danny, why have the league tables not been updated from week 19 ? If this behaviour continues unabated, the "Super" adjective from your job title will have to be removed until an acceptable level is reached and maintained !! Shock:
