So after the first division finally got wrapped up last night, details of the plate comp can now be announced.

First and foremost however, congratulations are in order for our two Champions, Rod Altes and Paul Da Silveira applause

Rod would have been many peoples favourite for the Prem, but Paul done a cracking job in an impossible to call 1st Division, and rightfully came out on top after some massive performances.

Final positions for the cash prizes were as follows:

Prem

1. Rod Altes ?200
2. Danny Evans ?150
3. Kyle Pickett ?100
4. Hugh Telford ?75

Division 1

1. Paul Da Silveira ?160
2. Mark Stallard ?120
3. Mick Huggins ?80
4. Paul Whooley ?60

Congrats to all.
For all the 5th place and below finishers, we still have the plate comp to play for, with a small but respectable ?40 up for grabs.

This has been pre-drawn in accordance with the rules, with your final league placings deciding who you play.

The Plate Draw is as follows:

Preliminary Round

1. Paul Saxton vs. Dan Mason
2. Donna Evans vs. Jon Prothero
3. Richard Morley vs. Martin Duncan
4. Mark Miller vs. Charles Burrows

Quarter Finals

A. Sean Kelly vs. Winner of match 1
B. Phil Wates vs. Winner of match 2
C. Chris Knock vs. Winner of match 3
D. Mickey Samuels vs. Winner of match 4

Semi Finals

A vs. D
B vs. C

All matches scheduled for best of 5, with the prelims kicking off at 8pm, as per usual match time.

Time Permitting, the Semi's and Final could be increased to best of 7.

I'd like to thank everyone who played and supported the singles league this year, we've had a lot of really good feedback, and wheels are in motion for CSL III, details to be announced soon. . . . .

I agree with that. It's a shame about the fixture pile up for Div 1 but you certainly couldn't blame the organisers for it.

Well done to Phil Wates on winning the plate comp last night.

At 3-0 down in the final, Longshanks was a Longshot. . .
However, with Dollys left for a 4-0, I had a "John Terry" moment, and Phil never looked back.

Deserved winner in the end. Well played mate.

The evening was relaxed and friendly, everyone had a laugh, and it was great to see nearly everyone there. We had a brief presentation for all the winners, Paul That's All Vera, looked well chuffed . . . and rightly so.

Full Plate results:

Prelims:

Paul Saxton 3-0 Dan Mason (Walkover)
Charles Burrows 3-1 Mark Miller
Donna Evans 3-2 Jon Prothero
Martin Duncan 3-0 Richard Morley

Quarters:

Mickey Samuels 3-0 Charles Burrows
Martin Duncan 3-0 Chris Knock
Sean Kelly 3-0 Paul Saxton
Phil Wates 3-1 Donna Evans

Semis:

Phil Wates 4-3 Martin Duncan
Sean Kelly 4-2 Mickey Samuels

Final:

Phil Wates 4-3 Sean Kelly
